If Manny has a bad game, the fans won't rip on him. It's only like that with Oz. Pathetic I know. And you're right. This happens to every team, and it most definitely is a reality check. Wings fans are just too damn spoiled that the second the team loses by three goals it's all chaos as if the world had ended.

The best part is when a Detroit team plays a Seattle team, you can watch them twice, one time with a bias towards Detroit and later with a bias towards Seattle. I have no idea why they can't produce a show here, they have some local talent here that'd work. So the DSR is really in Seattle? Yes, but Mickey York, Trevor Thompson and the hunky Ryan Field are all local...the anchor desk and all the anchors are from Seattle. That's true. I remember when I went to the Michigan vs. MSU game last year my friends and I were in the last section, and last row in the Joe yet we still saw everything fine, and had a great time.

With two most recent games I was happy to see that Ozzie is coming out right about the middle of the pack so far in stat wise. He doesn't have to win each and everygame for me, just enough to get us into the post season. My wife just informed me that her boss is giving back our tickets (he bought them off of us for Xmas present to his dad and the day was bad) so that we can now go to Thursdays game against the flyers... Yeah I was a little overzealous about selling tickets this year to get money back, that I sold us right out of the 2nd half. Haha! I might be going to Thursday's game as well! *crosses fingers* My Dad keeps mentioning it, and well one of his friends works for this company in which they get tickets all the time..and when he doesn't go he'll give them to my Dad for him to take my sis, and I, and recently he's been asking if I want to go to the game on Thursday and im like OF COURSE! So im thinking he's got the tickets. Excellent, triple the support We will try to get there for warmups... I am picking Jeni up from Wayne State so we will already be down there...Not sure what Jersey Jeni will have on, either her Osgood or her Legace I would gather...I will be wearing my Rivers jersey that night. Awesome! Do you two have good seats? I'm usually in section 108 or 102. Depending on who I get the tickets from. lol

The words Ozzie & Back Up just don't go together. And I seriously don't see that happening. Two bad games in a row isn't gonna push this guy to being back up already. No way. *This isn't directed at you, it's more so to dicksmack*

Nobody's saying it's ALL Osgood's fault (that I see anyways). And of course goalies play badly from time to time. But how many time this year can Ozzie apologists keep saying "Well, all goalies have a bad game now and then"? Look at his stats this season. Manny has a .922 save percentage compared to Ozzie's .888%. I could go on and list every other category (goals against, wins/loses, overtime record, shutouts, penalties, etc) and it would be the same thing. The only stat of Ozzie's that I think Ozzie MAY have a better record in is assists. But my point being, is that Ozzie is not having a good year. The Ozzie apologists can say "other goalies have bad games too" or "goalie x is a good goalie and his stats are bad this year", but it doesn't change the fact that Ozzie is not playing well (overall not playing well, obviously he has great games now and then). Did Osgood have a good December? Sure he did, but he certainly wasn't great (except for one game). Manny's goals against and save percentage for the entire SEASON is better than Osgood's GA and save percentage in December. The other thing Ozzie apologists bring up is the fact that Osgood doesn't seem to play well after sitting. Well, if that's true, it doesn't bode well for Ozzie. Babcock isn't going to sit a better playing goalie in hopes that SOMETIME down the line Osgood will start playing better. If you play well you play, if you don't you sit. Osgood's going to have to find a way to play better when coming in cold or he's in trouble. Look, I used to be a HUGE Ozzie fan. And I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for Ozzie. But I still remember quite clearly his last year in Detroit where Manny played half the season because Osgood kept having bad games. I truely feel bad for Osgood. I had hoped he would have a great season, because I know he loves Detroit, and Ozzie HAS won a cup for us. It's just not happening, yet. Maybe he'll turn things around the second half of the season, and I certainly hope so. But everytime Osgood has a bad game and people complain about him, please remember that it's not JUST that he had one bad game, but how many he's had this entire season so far. I hope Osgood picks it up, but Manny's my favorite goalie, and he's played like the better goalie this year... so GO MANNY! Finally a poster on this board that doesn't need to bash a goalie to get his point across. Yeah, he definitely was really good in December, and just recently has had two bad games. But like you even mentioned in your post, there is still half a season/playoffs left, and we all know a lot can change from here on out. I have faith in Oz, always have always will. I'm all for either of them coming up to play for the Wings. When the time comes, that is..as in when there are injuries and such. Booter I'd prefer more because of his physical play/prescence he brings. But I'd like to see what Tom can do out there as well. So far they are bothing having a real good season. Props to them!

He shouldn't have been there to begin with. He knew it cost the Wings a goal thats why when he was on the bench he kept shaking his head and put it down.
