No he's not. He's great defensively. His offense hasn't been there since he broke his jaw. His freaking helmet/jaw guard doesn't help much either.

Great post. I had a bad feeling about Game 5 as well, just didn't say anything. As for tomorrow, I won't know till then but so far I've got a good feeling and I never ever lose faith.

Let's make the finals first. Also, the Pens haven't faced any bit of adversity thus far. That is never a good thing. IMO anyway..

My goodness people..CHILL. Having two not so good games in a row does NOT take away from what a great team the Wings have been in this season and playoffs. No way in hell you're going to go throughout the playoffs playing perfect hockey. Bumps along the way are going to happen. Adversity only makes teams stronger. They'll be FINE. We won with Franzen and we can win without him. The fact we have lost the last two games isn't because Franzen has been out. It's because players have not been stepping up and have relied on him too much. If everyone did their part and upped their game a bit we would have won. Let's all get excited for tomorrow's game and hope that the Wings we know will show up. I know they will. As for Mule, he will come back when he comes back. That's all you can really say..

I agree that Hank and Pav are great together and a line that rarely should be messed with, but I think just for Game 6 they should be split up. See if it helps spark the likes of Clearly, Flip, etc..

I'm telling you, it's Cleary's freaking jaw guard/helmet that is screwing him up. It has to be! He hasn't been the same since. Chelios needs to step up big time. Cleary and Flip need to start generating some offense and get the puck in the net. I think it's time to split up Hank and Dats. That way you have two great lines and they both can help their other line mates get back on track. Perhaps.. Flip/Datsyuk/Homer Cleary/Hank/Huds Mac/Drapes/Malts Drake/Helm/Sammy Or switch lines three and four. I'm thinking having the Grind Line reunited will spark D-Mac's play.

Also, since we are talking about Game 6: Babs is expected to make some line changes.

It is not season ending. If it was they'd say it and get it over with already. He's not having headaches anymore which is a great sign. Babs said the second he's cleared to play, he's playing. Doesn't have to practice a lot. That says something right there.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They (Stars) are going to get tired real fast.
