-
No, It was actually for my Atari not my Wii But TPBM, is nervous about getting the coupon for a digital TV converter
-
A little more balanced broadcast for tomorrow, Ed Olychk - Hawks color guy. Dave Strader - Former Wings play by play guy.... (Man I miss those old broadcasts on PASS Sports) Much better.
-
And the Griffins DO lead the North Division thanks to the Wolves beating the Moose 6-2 tonight, the Moose still have a game in hand 1. GR 33 GP - 19W - 45 Pts. 2. MTB 32 GP - 21 W - 43 Pts.

I just checked the record book That goal by Tardif set the Griffins franchise record for fastest goal to start a game. Old record was 12 seconds by Nate Dicasmirro on 11/15/05 against Manitoba. (I believe that was an afternoon game on Tuesday, for the "Kids Day")
-
I really like how Tardif scores just 8 seconds in to start the game. "Welcome to the Peoria Civic Center for tonight's game between the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Peoria Rivermen... Before the national anthem. Grand Rapids Goal by number 23 Jamie Tardif, assisted by Darren Helm at 8 seconds.

http://ahl.neulion.com/team/console.jsp?catid=3&id=1518 I posted this over in the Griffins forum, but I know many of you wouldn't have seen this if it was there only. But the AHL site has a video of Aaron Downey mic'd up during the Griffins game at Manitoba a few weeks ago. Some interesting grunting and pregame stuff, but the game stuff is your standard in game chat.

http://www.griffinshockey.com/news/release...article_id=1183 Basically in a nutshell, since the Arena Football league cancelled the season, the Griffins took the Friday home game instead of the Wednesday game to get a bigger crowd. Great, another $1 beer and $1 hot dog night.
-
But at least they are all at home, Peoria on Friday and Saturday and Milwaukee on Sunday.

That someone was probably Quincey

Correct That is why they couldn't call up Howard or Larsson when Ozzie was injured. They would have to put somebody on waivers or LTIR for them to be able to have the cap space to call up somebody. McCarty is already on LTIR, Downey is already cleared waivers. Anybody else on the Wings roster that you'd want to put on waivers and risk being claimed?

Manitoba got the point. a shootout loss to Toronto. The problem is they are still holding onto that top spot in the north, but when Schneider gets back from Vancouver when Roberto Luongo returns to the Canucks, they are liable to go on a run that could put them a considerable distance ahead of the rest of the division. We've got them tied in points, but they have 3 more wins, and two games in hand.

Three Stars 1. GR - 31 Daniel Larsson 2. GR - 20 Darren Haydar 3. GR - 21 Francis Lemieux BTW Aussie, how'd I do??
-
Griffins win 2-0 2nd straight shutout for Larsson.
-
He's outstanding. I think you can safely say that Larsson has surpassed Howard so far this season. BTW, Ironic the Wings are playing the Avs on the same night the Griffins are playing the Avs, Wings vs. Avs Wings affiliate vs. Avs affiliate.
-
Make it 2-0 Lemieux, (4) (Haydar, Abdelkader), 3:50 (PP)
-
Griffins lead 1-0, 2nd period- Haydar, (12) (Leino, Kindl), 2:46 (PP)
-
So far a penalty filled first period. 0-0 Shots on goal: Lake Erie 11 Grand Rapids 13 Larsson is in net for GR
