He doesn't mention that the defender didn't play the 2 on 1 correctly, the player who was trying to clear the puck didn't bother to see if there was a linesman there. He makes no mention of the fact that the other 3 officials didn't make the call, when it happened live. Even after all of the replays shown on TV, the HD views, super slo mo. and CSI investigating you cannot possibly tell where that puck was, you see the linesman on the blue line, jumping up and then landing just outside the blueline, so where does the puck hit him, you can't tell on the replay. And I guarantee that if nobody can tell on replay after replay, after replay, after replay. The 3 officials and Trotz didn't see it either. Get over it Trotz. He just trying to get the next call. Saying how much his team got screwed over by the refs hoping maybe the next set of officials give his team a break in the next game. It's playoff hockey... As much as the NHL denies it, there is a different standards of officiating when it comes to the playoffs. The Preds top line only had 3 shots on goal, as a team were outshot 40-20. Nashville needs to have the other players on his roster besides Ellis show up.

There is one site in Detroit that I have always felt needed to be redeveloped, and a new arena for the Wings would be the perfect solution to a problem that has existed since the millenium. If you haven't guessed where I am talking about yet is the old Tiger Stadium. Over the past 10 years or so, we've heard all kinds of "solutions" for "The Corner". I've heard apartments, lofts, community gardens, office complex, I've heard casino's, I even remember hearing it being saved as a hollywood style movie set for use in sports movies. Now if you demolished Tiger Stadium and put a new arena for the Wings on the same site, I can see the city of taking care of two problems with one project, finally tearing down Tiger Stadium, which should go out with a bang, rather than a crumble, which unfortunately is what's going to happen to it if it just sits there. The Wings need a new facility, Tiger Stadium is in need of demolition (not to mention the Silverdome... Wow, do we have to save everything). Detroit needs to develop the Tiger stadium site, the Wings need a new facility, Cobo needs to have the exhibition space extended, especially for the auto show. The JLA site could give Cobo the needed space.
