Ahh good to hear from you my furry woodland hockey fan. With all of the "little badgers" Yeah, they have to find some way to figure out Hamilton, after the way the season started and they way they played until the injuries started to pile up. It would be a bad way to finish the season that started with so much promise.

Well, we may have lost Ryan Oulahed for a very very long time. During the second period of the Griffins game at Norfolk, Oulahen had his leg buckle under him when his skate caught a groove in the ice. Preliminary reports said he might have dislocated his hip, but the coach of Norfolk and former Griffin Darren Rumble said that he received new that Oulahen's left femur snapped and a portion of the broken bone came through the skin of his thigh inside his hockey shorts. This according to the Norfolk paper.

Griffins playoffs will begin about a week after the NHL's playoffs begin, they will most likely have home ice in the first round, probably against Hamilton It's a best of 7, for four rounds, just like the NHL playoffs. The only difference in the playoff setup is that the NHL playoffs are by conference. The top 8 teams in the conference make the playoffs, In the AHL the top four teams in each division make the playoffs. There is one crossover rule which is in the Griffins division. Because the west division has one more team than the north division, if the 5 place team in the west has more point than the fourth place team in the north, the west team will knock out the north team. I would guess that games 1 and 2 will be Friday and Saturday April 17th and 18th. But I've been wrong before.

The Hawks basically have to win the rest of their games to have a chance, they're 20 points behind us and they have a possible 22 points remaining, 1 detroit win or 1 chicago loss would give us the division. But quite frankly the division was won after we beat the hawks after the first four times we played them this season, I think leading up to the home and home series (including the Winter Classic) we were up by four points over the hawks and they came into the game in Detroit on a 9 game win streak. Well after the 4-0 win at the Joe and the win over the Winter Classic, the hawks all but gave up on the division. The Hawks worry now is Vancouver, they are tied with the Hawks for 4th in the west and they are going to have to battle to hold on to home ice advantage. Detroit is no longer within reach, holding onto home ice is all the hawks can do now.

This is from tonight's game There is a delayed penalty coming to Phoenix, Luongo gets pulled for the 6th attacker. The puck hits off of Tikanov and then O'Brien puts it into his own net. Victor Tikanov got credit for the goal and he got the penalty afterwards.

Guess, I'll only be watching the Griffins, because... A. I hate the Sparty's B. U of M was eliminated. C. My brackets are so screwed up already that my 5 (points... wink wink) for my pool are long since gone. D. Won't worry about watching the NCAA tournament at Van Andel, because 1. I hate Notre Dame 2. We all thought Nashville was going to be unstoppable with Ellis after his performance in the playoffs last year. As soon as Mason gets "figured out", Columbus will be back to normal.
