I wonder if anybody here who defends Osgood would react the same way if this was the playoffs and he tanked another game. I doubt we'd be calm about this. There is no way we should EVER lose a game when leading at three different points in the third period.

Everyone here knows that the fans have no faith in Osgood. The coaches and the other players will "TELL" you that they still believe in Ozzie and that they need to work hard while he is in net. They may say that to the media and say it publicly. But you know as well as I do that the players and coaches are losing faith in him. We take the lead into the period, 3-2, we have leads of 4-3 and 5-4 against the worst team in the western conference.

Osgood should die a slow painful death. Because that's what watching a Red Wings game feels like when Osgood is in net. Plus you can't shoot him. The bullet would go right past him.

Mike Walsh was a guy signed on a PTO. He actually played 14 games for us back in 06-07. Notre Dame grad. He has been playing in Utah for the Grizzlies (11G, 18A = 29PTS -- 41GP) Jimmy Howard had 44 saves.... Nice!!!

Well, they blew a 2-0 lead after the first, but they got a late goal in the third by Lemieux to win 3-2. Good win for a team with a little roster reshuffling going on. Glad to see other guys stepping up.

Gary Bettman just suspended the kid for 10 games plus he sent the kid to detention for 2 weeks because of them.

They could also move them to Kansas City, a site that has a new multi-use multi million dollar facility. Plus they made a push for the Pens, they also would provide a great natural rivalry with St. Louis. It would also keep the divisional alignment as well. I should add one comment that seems to have been lost in this whole discussion, The point of the Winter Classic is to take the game back to its roots, playing a game outside on a frozen pond in the dead of winter, it's where a lot of players got their start in playing the game. On a pond, in the cold, in January, in the snow. with those retro jersey's That's what the "WINTER CLASSIC" is supposed to be. Having a game in Vegas doesn't go with that "Winter Classic" theme. Now I am not saying that Vegas should never get the game, I am saying that it should wait. The Winter Classic has only been played twice, it's still new. Let the game get established in the places that should be hosting an outdoor game. After the game has been established for 10 years or so, then I could see the NHL attempt to "reinvent" the Winter Classic, that would make the Vegas event a special noteworthy game. Let's make sure the "Winter" part of the "Winter Classic" still means something.

Leave it to the NHL to absolutely f**king blow any momentum after what was and will be the best Winter Classic ever.
