I thought we played well this period, offensively. Shots on goal does not take in account the good chances we had and the time we spent in their zone. Defense is still a crap shoot.

My sister is in the hospital and I spent all day hanging out with her. Every other person in the University of Michigan University Hospital was wearing Wings merchandise of some sort and the game was all anyone was talking about. I kept passing bits and pieces of conversation involving the Wings, praising Lidstrom, making fun of Sidney Crosby, etc etc. I have a hard time believing it's anything like this in Pittsburgh for their Penguins. This state, this team and these fans are something freaking special. We deserve this cup!

I remember someone here commenting on how Hatcher was so slow he was practically skating backwards in time. That will always be what I think of whenever I hear the poor guy mentioned.

No one deserves the Conn Smythe more than Ozzie. Hell, no one deserves a tiny bit of freaking RECOGNITION more than Ozzie. I think he does give up some scary rebounds, but what goalie doesn't? Ozzie has come through for us every step of the way, like some freaking WIZARD.
