I both hope and believe we win this one. I want to be up 3-0, lose the 4th game and win the 5th at home for the series. Mainly I think we don't NEED to sweep - it might be TOO much rest before the Finals. I feel no animosity towards the Hawks (nothing like the burning hatred I have for Anaheim or Pittsburgh) and I think it would be good for them to win a game...they're not a bad team. And finishing a series at home is always nice.

just ask Jiri Fischer's family what they think. I still remember that he paid for them to come over after the incident and probably paid for the accomodations too...and he never gave up on Jiri even after it was determined he would never play hockey again. He found him a spot on the team even if the boy couldn't actually play in the games. That's the kind of compassion and decency that makes you the best owner in the entire world of sports, bar none.

has he said he would leave for a different team instead of retiring? I know he came here from Chicago - after swearing he never ever would, too - but I have a hard time picturing him with a different team at this point in time. He has a lot of roots in Detroit now. Who takes care of Cheli's Chili?

this is equivalent to Scorcese winning Best Director for The Departed. It wasn't his best film, but they had stiffed him on it so many times they were going to have to give it to him for SOMETHING, eventually. Avery's been a thorn in their side for a long time and he finally got what was coming to him even if it wasn't his worst infraction...although frankly, as a woman, maybe it was. Why is Elisha his sloppy seconds? Why isn't he her's? And this is 2008, there's no way he was her first either, so if she's anyone's "sloppy seconds", wouldn't he be sloppy seconds too?
