As far as the PATCHES go, I am don't have a picture to prove it, but I can say with the utmost certainty, they are a patch that signifies something along the lines of "City of Detroits 150th anniversary" or something.

Man whenever tickets go on sale for this, they're going to be impossible to get. EDIT: But I am totally there!

Terrible move. Nolan was one of the best things about that organization. Hopefully he can become the head coach of some team out there that needs him (sucks to be you Tampa Bay ). If he doesn't get a head coaching job, I think he could work well as one of our assistants. Here's to hoping we have a spot for him.

Man it's great to hear people talking about the confusion of Aurie's number. I can't tell you how often I have read about that, or thought about it. The only logical thing to think of is the HHOF argument (him not being in the HHOF), but I still think that is a rather weak excuse, as Aurie should be in the HHOF (though now it is impossible due to the HHOF not letting people in from prior dates, oddly enough). As for future numbers Lidstrom's 5 is a deadlock. Then I would say Osgood, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and a longshot Fedorov's are all possibilities. On the Zetterberg/Datsyuk note... as long as they remain lifetime Wings, and continue their performance; I'd call it a no-brainer.

My feelings exactly. As a huge Chelios fan, of course I want him on the team. Yet in saying that, the only players who should be on the ice are the ones who've earned it. Rest assured, at the end of the day, the only players left on the ice will be the ones who Babcock and Holland (knowledgably) choose. And I'll sleep good knowing that.

HOSSA DIDN'T CHOOSE TO BE A PENGUIN! What part of that do you Pittsburgh fans not understand? We know what you're going through, I was really sad to see Bertuzzi and Schneider defect. Hossa never made the decision to become a Penguin, he was traded. He was only on your team for half a season. The Penguins lost to a much better run team. Your "captain" ******* and moans... HE SHOULD NOT BE A CAPTAIN, and believe us we know what it takes to be a Captain (see Yzerman 19). Your coach ******* and moans, our coach just does his job, he wins. "Hey I wanna-be Hockeytown... wah wah wah." You're not Hockeytown! "Hey we sold out 60 games in a row." Big fricken deal, we were selling out our 350th consecutive game in a row, while you guys were thinking about moving to Kansas City. I understand your pain about losing Hossa, but he never chose to be a Penguin. I wish Bertuzzi was still here, but the reality of it is, it's their choice, and your fans should ***** less about losing a rental player. If Hossa leaves Detroit next season I'll understand, it'll be ok. Of all the fans I've encountered against the Wings, Penguins fans have been above and beyond the worst. Everyone complains about Philadelphia fans... looks like the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree.

Word on the street is Conklin has an "Automatic Outdoor Game Clause" in his contract.

Holy Crap! Holy Crap! Pleasure overload! Pleasure overload! The Red Wings are the EXACT same team as last season... except, instead of having Dallas Drake, we have Marian f'n Hossa! I am just totally speechless. Ken Holland is purely brilliant. So the Wings are the same team, but with the Penguins best player from the Finals! :band:

MAN I WISH I COULD DO THIS! Me and my friend went to a Lightning/Panthers game this last season @ The Bank Atlantic Center. It was unbelievable! It is an amazing arena, with amazing accomodations, and seats. Great food courts, great store, great location. Unbelievable fans, and just an all around EXCELLENT TIME! I thought the location, the arena, the store, and the fans were out of this world and beyond my expectations!
