I absolutely love Kovalchuk. Always have. He's my favorite non-Red Wing. As are the Thrashers my favorite non-Red Wings team All because Kovalchuk.

Man that's all I can do is applaud you! You are right on the button!! I totally agree with you 100%. Do you remember the atmosphere at Phillips Arena when the Thrashers joined the playoffs! Amazing! The last thing that moving a franchise would do, is grow the sport. I am so happy to see someone finally say what is true, and it's great to hear a Canadian say it (because it seems most want every team to move to Winnipeg). I don't think there is one team who HASN'T gone through lulls. I personally believe all the current franchises will be ok. Although I do believe having 3 teams in the exact same area is silly (sorry New Jersey, you go west young man).

Here's my two cents: the cap is a really good way to run the league, but shrinking the cap is not a good thing at all. (What if all teams had their salaries maxed out at 56.7 for 3 years because that's the cap?) It's stupid to be able to shrink the cap. Also my third cent: don't screw teams out of revenue sharing (i.e. Phoenix).

The only DECENT thing about that article was the quotes from hockey players. That was maybe the worst written piece of crap I have ever read. I am so glad to hear he's gone. His Lion's comments were beyond inappropriate.

Datsyuk is so good, that he can use the wind to his advantage, but it somehow escaped the two Blackhawks he schooled.

I'm still not totally sold that he will be though. On a side note though, I REALLY do not want Conklin to start this game, he's played in pleanty of them. If anyone should be the goalie for an outdoor Wings game, it should be Osgood. EDIT: Link
