Kronwall out 6-8 weeks with broken sacrum
Yzermaniac192005 replied to 58Miles2Joe's topic in General
The sacrum is a large, triangular bone at the base of the spine and at the upper and back part of the pelvic cavity, where it is inserted like a wedge between the two hip bones. Its upper part connects with the last lumbar vertebra, and bottom part with the coccyx (tailbone). Thank God for Wikipedia Now I just hope some copyright lawyer doesn't come after me... -
I'm really frustrated by this entire topic... I'm a huge Tigers fan, have been my entire life, along with the Red Wings. I'll be honest, last year with the Tiger's in the postseason, I was glued to the TV and forgot about the Wings -- but they were just starting the season. Yes, I realize now the Tiger's are opening their new campaign and the Wings are going into their next playoff run, but I guarantee no one is putting the Red Wings in the backseat. This is still Hockeytown and people are going to be watching the Playoffs much more then the first few Tigers games. I doubt many games will even overlap but if they do, I'm sure I'll be one of the many using the "go back" button on my remote for both games, but mainly focusing on the Wings. Everyone should be happy for the Tiger's and the city and it doesn't suprise me that people are buying more Tigers stuff - mainly because most of us already have plenty of Red Wing paraphenalia (sp?). Let's face it, all these years that the Tiger's sucked, I amongst many watched them, but wasn't about to go out and spend money on a team that couldn't win. Rather I would buy an Yzerman jersey or a bobblehead or something. If both teams keep winning, eventually it will even out -- its just right now everyone wants to be a part of this Tigers team now that they're good. But theres no reason to think the Wings are taking a backseat to any team in this town.

Osgood vs. Nashville, Hasek vs. Dallas
Yzermaniac192005 replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
Doesn't Ozzie have some ridiculously good record against the Stars? I realize he's been good against the Preds but we need to win every game, so start Dom against Nashville and then Ozzie against the team he's owned in his career. Babcock might be thinking that the game against Nashville could be more intense, with guys crashing the net and more opportunity for Dom to get hurt, while Dallas is a much less aggressive team -- but still, I'm confused by this call. -
Yeah, I wasn't borned either in 1980 ..Sorry I couldn't resist. But My top 10, in no particular order would be: Yzerman Gretzky Mario Brodeur Roy Hull Lidstrom Forsberg Kovalev Jagr

Well as anyone who's watched hockey and especially played it knows that one day everything you touch goes in and the next all you hit is a brick wall no matter what you do. I think Homer and Dats are just having their own little streaks like every player does and when Zetts get back it'll help them even more. And obviously Z is an outstanding player, he will help way more then hurt when he returns. And I agree tho, Homer might still be feeling that injury especially after that "collision" at center

Yeah I used to hate that so much...I think one time I tried creating a new player and fitting the entire name in haha but obviously that didn't work. Plus it would erase itself so whats the point

Good for him, although I love seeing a goalie who's wearing his old pads and mask with a new team reminds me of something you'd see out of a video game...which, not to change the subject makes no sense as to why they game can't just change the goalies helmet but thats another story...

That hurts just looking at it...i've gotten a blade to the mouth before and that will just cut you up. I cant even imagine a shaft of a composite stick to the mouth or chin...he should be done for the season ugh thats painful

I understand you're thought...but we still should make a deal. Yes the Wings are probably doing better then most expected but you can't sit back and hope this team will go all the way. It's esentially the same team we had in the playoffs last year with a few adjustments so thats proof enough we need one or two more pieces. Who, Idk but it wouldn't be smart to sit back and hope this team will go all the way. The Pavel/Hank/Homer line is amazing but they can only carry a team so long.

He just seems unhappy he had to leave Philly. I was maybe hoping he was upset about where he landed or wished he went somewhere else...Oh well, just sounds like he's trying to show some respect to Philly and then move on.

This is great news, I hope its Markov!!! And if Hasek's agent keeps contacting Kenny, AND we we're going to take a chance on psycho Eddie, does that mean Kenny might be turing Dom's way next? Or is that not even a possiblity with the trade offer's out there?...Either way, this is going to be interesting to see what Kenny does!

Sadly I just saw this rumor today and the first thing I see is Kronwall, and immediatly know it's false. Trade Kronwall and you might as well drop Hank and Dats, seriously

Eklund at it again: Shanny back, Giguere to Detroit?
Yzermaniac192005 replied to datsyukonethree's topic in General
Exactly, his salary is way too high. Besides, he shows up for the Playoffs and has pretty good hands at the faceoff circle -
Do we really want Aebicher anyways? I know he was supposed to be the future in Colorado and never lived up to the hype that surrounded him, just like Turco in Dallas. They were amazing back-ups but once they became starters, never were quite as good. I would definitley take Aebicher over Belfour here, but trading Lang or Holmstrom is a little much, especially since Tomas is the only guy who has any guts to take wacks from any goalie, now that Shanny and Stevie are gone.

I'd hate to see dandy leave...he's always been speedy and hes not exactly small, so i dont think the wings will be looking to trade him...hopefully he sticks around though because its hard to find somone who can play just about any position and do it well too.

Yeah, im not sure if having Bertuzzi on the wings would be such a great idea. If we do drop Mac then getting Bertuzzi would be great, but his reputation, especially after the incident with Moore isnt something that fits here in detroit...maybe in some other city, like colorado, but id hate to see us playing against him with the avs...either way, if he becomes available, i hope that the wings really think about this one...hell of a player though
