I'm as confident about tonight as I was in 2002 and I mean that. I remember how I felt in 02 against Colorado and it wasn't nervous, it was anxious like tonight. Now past years in elimination games...that's a different story. Maybe its because we have Dom in the net? Not sure what it is but I'm as confident as all of you. Its just that feeling that you just somehow know everything will be okay.

Arent the Wings like 3-0 with Huds in the lineup this postseason?? I could be wrong of course. I know they won the first two vs Calgary with him in...so....never know.

I've coached hockey before and won a few state championships playing so if you can imagine my teams had our backs against the wall before - and the best thing a coach can say is this: "You guys have had a great season so far. You've played your hearts out and made myself and the rest of the coaches very proud of what you have accomplished to this point. No matter what the outcome of tonights game, just know this has been an incredible year and its been an honor coaching you this far." You may think that sounds funny but as a team, you realize all that you have done and it hits you - suddenly you gain confidence and you gain the drive to NOT let your season end. You already have great memories for this year and you want to add to em. Trust me, it's worked before and if Babs says anything like this, it'll work again. But that might be more of a 3rd period speech then anything

Whaaaaaaat? Alright, first of all, this is definitely not the time for this kind of talk. We'll worry about the Offseason when it gets here and as of this moment our Wings are still alive. Second, why would you sign Carter and let Bert go? Bert will sign at less then 2.5 million because after his injury problems, no one is going to offer him very much - and I think he's found a home here in Detroit. The fans like him and he has brought what we need to this team. I can only imagine how good we would be if he were 100% healthy (drools) Ryan Smyth, I sort of agree, but if you're going to grant him a 5-6 mil contract, I'd rather throw that at Drury. He's a proven playoff performer and very clutch. I'd rather have him then Smyth. And Souray is not someone I would want on this team. Regher though is a nice choice if available. Again, why are we talking about this!?

I'm just hoping that the Wings play the best hockey they have all year. If they lose playing their best hockey then as fans we can do no more then applaud their effort and as a team, they can tip their hats and know they gave it their all. But if they come out and flop and lose while playing horrible hockey I'm going to be pissed Lets just hope they come out and play the best damn game they've played all year. GO WINGS!

What's with all the negative attitudes around here? I can't believe how many of you are throwing in the towel and the series isn't even over yet! True, this isn't 2002 and we're not playing Colorado. But if history has taught us anything, its that anything is possible. This Wings team may not have as many all stars as it did in 06 but they do have more heart then that team and much more character. I really just hate all the negative comments being made here, it pisses me off. True Wings fans will stick by their team until the end. And seriously, if they win game 6, we come back here on home ice and as all of you know, anything goes in game 7. I just wish everyone would show a little bit more support. Go ahead and feel bad and blame the refs all you want but we need to support this team to the very end. Not keep saying how were done and out.

Yeah no kidding, it really doesn't anymore. Theres too many bandwagon fans for the Wings. Not enough of them remember the days that they sucked, b/c when you do it kind of lets you appreciate the winning more. Kind of like the Tigers.

Its not just around here...here's an example. I'm sitting here online and quite a few of my friends have away messages up on AIM saying something negative. My own mother called me to say "well there goes the cup" and someone just posted something on Myspace about how the series is over.. I'm not just directing this to the folks here on this site, even though obviously they're the only one's who will read this, but I'm just trying to get a point out to Wings fans in general. Maybe its a lost cause, Idk, but I hate when we get down on our boys.

Thank you I'm glad I'm not the only one who's going to stick by this team's side to the very end. I feel like if you give up just because of one loss, you're a bandwagoner. Maybe I'm wrong but thats how I feel about it.

That no call was bulls*** I know the Wings just took a hit but you know Babcock's going to have them fired up. They had this game and if Dominik plays like he did, the Ducks won't win unless they get another lucky bounce. I'm confident about this OT, come on Wings!

Should be a great game, lets hope the Wings play this game the way they did against Calgary and SJ in those game 5's, respectively. GO WINGS!!!!

Okay, I wish I could put and end to all the complaining and whining thats going on here but obviously I have no such power.. Lets just take the positives from this game and realize how well the Wings played. And like I said before, Dom will be Dom again next game, he just had some rough bounces. Face the facts people, without Dom we don't get this far anyways. Next game should be a great one. I'm really really looking forward to it!

How many times has Hasek had a bad game and bounced right back?? Seriously, everyone should calm down. A goalie isn't going to be a brick wall every night. Dom will be great next game, no worries.

F*** all this talk about momentum...has anyone here seriously ever played hockey?? I've been on two state championship teams and trust me, momentum is all in your head. It may be a bigger thing in another sport, say Baseball where they play every single day, but I'm telling you - In hockey, when you have a day off, momentum is meaningless. Confidence however is a totally different subject. I'll agree with anyone who says the Ducks are the more confident team now going into game 5. But don't feed any of us more of this momentum crap.

Lets see... Both teams have now won one game that they deserved to and Both have won one that they didn't. Oh well, we were all seriously hoping for a split at least and we got it. Heres a fun stat though..both series so far for the Wings have been 2-2 going back to Detroit...maybe its a good omen?
