Great GDT GO WINGS!! Should be another great game and with Kopecky out there instead of Calder, the Wings should be able to run 4 lines consistently again, instead of trying to experiment around a guy with a broken hand..

theres no doubt in my mind the Ducks would have probably tied it with their constant attack. Now if it was a 3-2 game and the Wings had a goal called back lets say, then I'd be upset. But its not a big deal, we're not down going into Anaheim, its a tied series. True now they've got home ice advantage but I'm very very confident that we can take one from them, just as I was with San Jose.

I've always had the utmost respect for Neidermeyer and hated Pronger more then anyone in the league. Hopefully Pronger isn't rubbing off on him, hes a great d-man. But then again, if he is...maybe he'll start taking stupid penalites

I hate to talk about stuff before we even get there but I guess if its all just for fun I'd have to agree with Hasek. However Lidstrom is very deserving along with a few other guys. Lets hope we get there and then if we win we can talk about it for the whole 5 minutes until they award the winner

Thats awesome! I know the feeling though, a few years back I was surprised with tickets against the LA Kings -- which just so happened to be the game that Stevie made his sudden return at. I know at the time I was happy but once I found out he was coming back I'd never been so excited. Make us proud at the game!!

Norton is solid but fights and loses. Last time I checked, usually losing a fight doesn't help your team gain momentum.

True that, although it was always channel 50 or UPN or whatever that had the games back in the day, then I know I had to watch the rest on CBC. Sucked so much because Bob and Harry are so biased against the Wings since they have all these European players. At least Versus isn't THAT bad.

I read this in the paper too...I mean, honestly what is he supposed to say? "There's no where else I'd rather play. Except maybe for Detroit. But other then them, no where" Of course he would say that, he pretty much has to. Shanny's a good guy and hopefully his #14 will hang from the rafters next to 19 and of course 5 one day.

I'd take Bert over Smyth any day..its true Smyth is a class act and very skilled but so is Bertuzzi. But Bert adds the one thing we sorely need in Detroit and its the ability to strike fear into the hearts of our opponents. Smyth is gritty but when Berts out there, every guy on the ice has they're eye on him to make sure they aren't knocked into the parking lot. Bert hasn't played much but damn was he amazing with Vancouver when he was healthy. Keep Bert, he'll be cheaper then Smyth too.

OK, now before this series I had absolutely no thoughts about how in 1994 the Sharks upset the Wings. Heck, I wasn't even 10 years old so I barely remember it. But I'd seen videos before and obviously the image of a young Chris Osgood sitting at his locker in tears always comes to mind, but I had never seen the infamous giveaway goal. So I youtube'd it (new word haha) and not only did I find the video but whoever made this thing had an obsession with the goal. Idk, personally I found this video almost humorous and since we've already won I can do this But just thought I'd share.

Hasek was incredible tonight and I can honestly say I've not once doubted him and was extremely pleased when he returned for another season here. He's still the Dominator and will go down as one of the best goalies ever. He showed tonight (except for one play where Nick saved his ass ) that he's still a shutdown goalie and can play at a level as high as anyone. Plus he gives the team a boost of confidence, unless he's handling the puck...thats a diff story...

Haha I'm actually enjoying this whole "underdog" thing. No one picked Detroit, except for us fans, and Detroit took it in 6 but showed some amazing heart along the way, which has impressed me the most as a fan. I think if they keep playing with this passion and Dom can shut the door like he did tonight, there's no one who could stop the Wings. This is going to be a great series though I can feel it. TIme for some revenge for 03 haha

I'm thinking its time to get some revenge on the Ducks. Heck, we took out our revenge of 2004 in the first round, maybe a bit of 1994 this year haha (I hope I got that right..) so why not get revenge on 2003 while we're at it? GO WINGS!!
