The Wings own the Stars. They definitely don't scare me - as for the Sucks I know we're fine. Teams just in a slump right now and missing a couple key guys. They'll pull out soon.

Regardless, he needs to sign a contract before the trade deadline if we want to call him up. I fully expect the Red Wings to give him a two way contract very soon. It's a no brainer for both sides, I think the Wings just have to pay him a little bit more? Either way, great to hear he got a hattrick, best news I've heard all night!

Haha yeah right...a helmet saved my life playing hockey and I guarantee its saved many of these guys as well. Neck guards though...I just don't see it happening. Maybe they should all start wearing those hang down guards like goalies wear

Believe it or not I've never been against bringing him back. I was bitter when he left for the Ducks but if he had come right back I would have been all for it. I just think right now, he'd make an excellent fit with this team and he is the right price. I know everyone heard about the 1st round and prospect...and I gotta ask you all, since when do the Wings ever need a first rounder? I don't wanna start naming names (Z, Dats, Homer etc) but the scouts do a damn good job finding talent. That price isn't that high compared to what Atl or Tor wants for Hossa/Sundin, and we all know this team needs secondary scoring BADLY.

That way they'll feel even more like a seller and be more willing to trade Sergei In all seriousness though, if I'm Columbus and I pretty much know 100% that Sergei won't be back next season, I trade him away for an NHL ready player and a draft pick. I really wouldn't want Kopecky, nothing about him impresses me, but I'd ask about maybe a guy like Hudler or Meech, or another guy who can play at this level and hope they thrive in a new role with the Blue Jackets because they'd be under less pressure. And then I'd ask for a draft pick along with one of those guys. I'd deem that to be fair and I think the Wings could agree with it too. It's the same line of thought the Panthers had last year when they traded Bert to the Wings and I think they got the better end of that deal now.

I personally want Sergei back to man our 2nd PP unit. I don't know how everyone else really sees him fitting into the lineup otherwise, but for me he's a 3rd liner, maybe 2nd right now with the injuries, BUT he'd do absolute wonders for our PP. We can finally kick Sammy off the line and let Sergei try to set things up.

The only reason I want Sergei RIGHT NOW is because of our 2nd pp unit. We need someone who can settle the play down and make something happen and he would do wonders for it. True...and I'm not a fan of that green. Now I'd take a sweet wings hat in Silver or black, maybe all white any day. Even red, depending on how much it is. I have a red hat with an old english D on it and i love it but i feel like when i wear it I stand out haha.

Hey, we're Wings fans. We expect nothing but the best from our team and rightfully so. They're built to win, and if they don't, we have every right to ridicule em.

The thing is, all youth hockey players have to wear neck guards, its mandatory. It doesn't do a damn thing to your play at all but if a blade were to come up, it would save you. As a hockey player, I've gotta tell you, I've had a blade narrowly miss me in the face/neck a few times but never thought much of it. After this though, I'm glad I had to wear those neck guards.

Unless Dan got paid a good amount to blow that call - I'm sure it's going to eat at him enough. If any of you out there think these Refs don't know after a game that they made a bad call, you're dead wrong. Regardless - as pissed as I am, I'm just trying to look at it this way - we're still the #1 team in the NHL and the Ducks aren't. Had the Wings been on top of their game, they win, hands down. We can beat the Ducks and will when we see them. And hopefully by then, D-Mac will be out there to expand that valley between Pronger's teeth

Well thats sad that he has to go through it but great to hear he will be OK. We should get a big get well soon card and send it from LGW.com. idk if Matt or anyone is up for it but I think he'd appreciate it. haha hey Hockeytown, lets calm down!....... OK, so deep breaths here. I think its so funny how some of you act like its the end of the world that we lost one game. So the Kings beat us, big deal. Yeah it was in an ass-whooping fashion but honestly guys, the Wings made the mistake of looking past the Kings tonight. They played bad hockey and got burnt because of it. Ozzie wasn't on top of his game, but after his stellar outings, he's entitled to a bad one now and then. And yeah, there goes another winning streak but hey lets just start up another. The Wings will do fine and to be honest, the win record really isn't a concern of mine. Last time I checked, when we won 62 games, we kind of didn't even make it to the Finals. Either way, lets all chill, get ready for what should be a great game Saturday and thank God we aren't Kings fans - because you know this win is bittersweet for them
