Given the wording in the TSN article - "mutually agreed" and "moving on to pursue other opportunities" - it sounds like McCrimmon was basically fired (and rightfully so). Yes, technically, they just didn't re-up his contract, but with that wording? It screams "you're fired, go somewhere else".

Glad he turned it down. I think his agent will be getting a phone call from Brian Burke, since I don't think he's learned sufficiently from the Lebda debacle. I wouldn't be too averse to two-way contracts for Drapes and Ozzie, honestly. If there were two players that would be agreeable to that, I'd think it would be them.

Lame. Rangers/Devils or Rangers/Isles would have been much more interesting. Not to mention the already-mentioned fact of teams being repeated already. With Philly and Pittsburgh getting them like this, it truly should just be called the Pennsylvania Outdoor Classic.

If they move to the East, I'd actually be able to see them play more than once a season. I like the idea of that.

Rollercoaster ride throughout the entire season and right through the playoffs. Hell of a ride though. No shame, no shame. Except for Hudler (and Babcock's choice to put him in the lineup tonight). He should feel MUCH shame.
