And I still don't think Mario's getting fined because: A response would be a fine. Baby Mario is coddled too much by the league to get a fine.
-
Bill Daly already stated yesterday that Mario wouldn't get fined.
-
I'll take a 12, considering I picked both Wings games wrong.
-
Read on Twitter that Holland is actually interested in Chris Phillips, so who knows? Apparently the Rangers are making a push for him as well. Also, the Devils are looking to unload Jason Arnott and the interested parties are Detroit, LA and Dallas.
-
It's because we're right.
-
This is all because I picked against them in both games for the Weekend Picks.
-
No fines for Mario either, even though other GMs have gotten busted for speaking out like that. No wonder we keep thinking the Pens are Bettman's chosen team. Hey, he was a "I'm taking my puck and going home!" kind of player.
-
And this is why I call him Baby Mario. What a ******* whiner...and a hypocrite to boot.
-
Mario whines about the state of the game: http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=552602&cmpid=pit-twt-pghpenguins Meanwhile, Snow questions why the Penguins weren't fined too: http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hockey/comments/snow_wondering_why_penguins_were_not_fined/

I'm heading off to the gym, but I should be back for the 2nd. Maybe I can get one of the TVs there tuned to NBC...

We already knew about the lack of integrity from the Pittsburgh broadcast team, but that article is great nonetheless.
-
According to Darren Dreger, Bettman will be personally involved in the PIT/NYI discipline. Which means that Bylsma's suspension will likely be rescinded, Godard will just get a fine and half the Isles roster will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
-
Love it. LOVE IT. Had a feeling Bylsma would be fined too and even though I actually like the guy (his defense of Cooke notwithstanding ), that was just stupid of him to allow Godard to leave the bench.
-
I'm really curious what kind of suspensions are handed out from this fracas. And I hope the league is fair for a change.
-
Any surprise that O'Halloran was one of the refs for this game?
-
Admittedly, nope. Was following a lot via box score and Twitter comments. Comments like the from the Pittsburgh PbP crew don't surprise me in any case, though - I know some people think Ken and Mickey are homers, but those guys take homerism to a whole new level. But if the Isles were instigating it, well, that's that.
-
I heard that the Pens play by play team were calling the Islanders "an embarrassment to the league". Tonight, I'd say that was Pittsburgh, not the Isles. If the league doesn't suspend Godard for that (and possibly fine Byslma), there's something wrong with them.

Interesting read. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Yevgeni-Malkin-End-of-Russian-player-names-as-w?urn=nhl-319522&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I would openly applaud Pronger if he did that. I was going to say that I'd get a Flyers Pronger jersey, but that would be too far.
-
I was actually itching to say 7-3 Boston, but I didn't want to be the first.
-
What if it's happened in more than one case? Exact same thing happened in Atlanta when McCrummy came in.
-
Was that Hull's voice? Wow.
-
Nick definitely needs to say something in the locker room. He doesn't need to scream and throw things, but he needs to lead this damn team because right now, this team is clearly rudderless and floating in circles.
-
Confirmed that he's starting tomorrow night against Boston.
