This. We're not going to win another Cup with him behind the bench.

That said, at least they were giving Zata credit on that opportunity. Hell, they just gave the Wings themselves credit for scoring opportunities. Still hate this broadcast team though. Not as much as I hate the radio team, mind you. QUIT RUNNING OUR GOALTENDER. He could have avoided that, EASILY.

Same here. I hate these guys.

Joey's scaring the hell out of me.

Danke. Eww. Pittsburgh stream. Beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.

Sounds like I'm missing a garbage game already. No feed either, since drum's appears to be down.

That just conjured up the strangest image ever.

I'm almost positive it's the blue team. Thought I read it on Puck Daddy, so take that as you will.

THN: Zetterberg should be disciplined for skipping ASG
edicius replied to edicius's topic in General
I'm just tired of the double-standard in the (mostly) Canadian hockey media in this case. Campbell crucifies Zetterberg, but is silent on Crosby. Then again, from what I've heard, Bob Campbell is an idiot on par with Mike Milbury - I just hadn't encountered that particular bit of idiocy yet, so it was particularly annoying. -
And I only brought it up because the news source from which I got the naming of the captains (Bob McKenzie) mentioned Crosby in the same breath. Sorry for reporting the news as it's reported.

They'll probably still make him captain (and I refuse to believe that the players are such sheep that they'd make Crosby a captain, but Bettman probably demands it), but he'll just lead everyone from the bench, because he's that fantastic a leader. Then they'll make everyone on the ice salute his strength in the face of adversity and show a montage of Crosby highlights (sorry, no ball punching or slewfooting included) set to some song by Train. -
We call it, "Plastic Crack"...

Yup, don't forget about Deryk Engelland. A Penguin? Suspended? Inconceivable!

Wow. When it rains, it pours. I can't even laugh at Lebs anymore. I have to laugh at the idiots who thought that signing him would put the Leafs over the top.

Would that I could actually draw...

THN: Zetterberg should be disciplined for skipping ASG

Wonder if Campbell is going to call for Crybaby to be disciplined now. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Report-Sidney-Crosby-considers-skipping-All-Sta?urn=nhl-308838&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Whine, Sid, whine. Once again, he's showing his inferiority complex to Zata. -
Which is probably why I actually kind of like it. You guys know how Transformers obsessed I am. Oops. That said, the wheels almost look like an afterthought and could have been integrated better.

Thanks for reminding me again that Crybaby was a lying punk throughout that incident and didn't hesitate to take shots at Dats and Lids. Which is bulls***, because he wasn't planning on attending until a call with Daddy Bettman. But that's neither here nor there this year (unless Crybaby doesn't fulfill his meet and greet duties this season). What it comes down to is that the ASG is a sham and the majority of vocal hockey fans on the internet know it. -
Modano claims he can pass and shoot the puck and is ahead of schedule to return. He expects to start practicing regularly in late February. (via 97.1 The Ticket) Good news. Night and day from when we thought it could be the end of his career.

Jimmy won't play against the Crybabies on Tuesday, but thinks he will be back against the Blues on Thursday, via 97.1 The Ticket.

Today's weigh-in: 193 lbs. 10 lbs dropped in three weeks of eating right and working out. Not too shabby.

Told ya.

Spot. On. I think you'll fit in well here. I find it so bizarre that Milbury is so well known as a joke because of his time as a GM, yet he still maintains a gig as a talking head behind a desk. The only thing I can think of is that everyone truly is laughing at him, while Milbury just doesn't get the joke.

Still saying McCrummy needs to go. Been saying it for a few years now...
