I'd like to see an early lead. (Hudler, you suck.)
-
And here I thought we were getting out of hand. I raise a glass to Dave Steckel, even though it was clearly unintentional.
-
I've never been so proud of all of you. *sniffle*

I was really planning on getting a Parise jersey this season (living here, I should really have a Devils jersey - already have Rangers and Isles) but I'm glad I waited. If he ends up signing a sufficient-term deal with the Devils, then I'll pull the trigger. But if not...well, good luck to Parise wherever he ends up (except Pittsburgh, of course).
-
I really wanted to root for Jersey this season too because, damn it, I want a good chance to see the Cup! Hell, John Madden brought the Cup to a local burrito joint over the summer (one that I happen to frequent), but I didn't find out until shortly afterward.
-
Or the pirouette to the ice after the Steckel hit.
-
Some people are arguing that it wasn't Steckel's hit, but actually the next game against Tampa when Hedman boarded him. Pittsburgh is just trying to create more drama (and possibly rally for a suspension for Steckel ).

I'm probably hitting the gym tonight, provided I haven't slid into a ditch on the way home...stupid snow. I had actually initially intended to make yesterday my off day, but I did that with Wednesday and went yesterday after the dentist. If I go today, I'll actually have hit the gym four out of the last five days, which is pretty good for me (usually only manage to go 3 times a week). I'm determined to get some of these extra pounds gone.

Looking like Dallas now.
-
Eh, I doubt that. If it's not a particularly talented defensive team, he'll perform just as poorly. Also, when Roy got traded, he was still relatively young - 29, I believe. Marty's almost 10 years past that. That said, I really, really doubt Lou would trade Marty. I don't know if any team would be desperate enough to give up anything of worth for him this season either. Goaltenders are a dime a dozen and they can be had for cheap now. Marty's contract is through next season for $5.2M and I can't see any team taking that on for a 38 year old Brodeur.
-
I read that the only places Langenbrunner had agreed to waive his NTC for were Dallas, San Jose or St. Louis. So I don't see Columbus or Philly being in the mix.

Just burned 854 calories on the elliptical. Think I'm gonna go puke now.
-
And if I recall correctly, he's been pulled 7 times this season, that one game where he was pulled 8 minutes in being the fastest pull of his career. I'll say that again: Martin Brodeur - the goaltender darling of the hockey media, crowned as better than Roy and Sawchuk combined - has been pulled more times than he has wins this season. Yowch.
-
Maybe Brodeur should have thought of that before the Devils' playoff chances were at 0.008335%.

^^^ Yup. That HAS to be the puck. It's not white like the net or the ice and it's not red like the post. Refs blew it. And so did "We-Review-Every-Goal-No-Matter-What" Toronto.
-
Even watching the HD version of the YouTube video doesn't help. The only damning part is that the goaltender DOES reach into the net to grab the puck, which means that it's more than likely that block blob (where there should have been no black blob) was the puck. The fact that they didn't even review it, though, is mind-boggling.
-
...and now he's been put on waivers.
-
Took yesterday off, my left calf was still a little wonky. Planning on hitting up the gym tonight following a dentist appointment.

Traded for D prospect Ty Wishart. Interesting. Not surprising though, Tampa needed goaltending.
-
Well, it's either that or Versus... ...ah crap.
-
Crosby, staring at monitors full of players - monitors full of players ready to be drafted. Drafted by the team captains. Honestly, I thought it was pretty obvious. *shrug* I honestly think the captaincy choices have already been made, despite anything the league says, considering the time they need to produce the jerseys, promotional clothing items, marketing materials, etc. It's already been confirmed that the teams will be named "Team Captain A" and "Team Captain B" and the ASG isn't that far away.
-
The only other thing that jumps out at me on that one is that the D on the front is a little too small. I love the stuff I've gotten from DHGate, honestly. Got one Zata WC jersey and a Sabres Miller jersey, both feel and look great.
-
Looking at the new Versus commercial for the All Star Draft, it's looking more and more like Crybaby gets to be a captain. Big ******* surprise. http://vimeo.com/18417843

I hate you. I still can't top 430 on the elliptical in 32 minutes.
