Was there a 'C' on the Petes jerseys on the night his number was retired? If so, that might be why, because I don't see anything online about him ever being captain there.

Just didn't see any sustained energy tonight. Sloppy, sloppy defensive mistakes - Ericsson passing into Stuart's skates right in front of Howard? Brilliant. Jimmy needs a couple games off too. His last three haven't been up to par and frankly, he just needs a break.

Love how the league constantly feels the need to make s*** up on the fly to excuse their incompetence/bias. You know, like the whole Crosby rule from the ASG two years ago.
