What about 09-10 for Salei? That's where I was pulling my Lilja stats from. Plus, when I calculated Lilja's blocked shot stats for the regular season and playoffs (it was in a previous thread a few months back), I calculated it based on minutes played, not games played. I'm betting Lilja will still come out ahead and I'll try and do the calculations shortly. EDIT: And I will stand corrected here, Salei has an edge in the regular season, but Lils has the edge in the postseason: Salei Regular Season: 0.090 shots blocked/min Playoffs: 0.100 shots blocked/min Lilja Regular Season: 0.086 shots blocked/min Playoffs: 0.138 shots blocked/min

Shot blocking. Statistically, Lilja was far and away the best on the team during the regular season (even in his limited games played) and the playoffs. We don't really have a lot of other guys out there willing to sacrifice the body.

Neither would I. I honestly don't see what all the hype is over Salei or what he brings to the table that Lilja doesn't. I still think our PK is going to suffer again without Lils out there (unless we ditch McCrimmon...then, all bets are off).

Definitely not happy that he's not with the Wings, but as long as he doesn't sign with Pittsburgh or Chicago, I suppose I can deal with it. Hell, if anything, it would give me a legit reason to get a Sharks jersey; I think I'm one of the few who actually likes their jersey.

Damn right, I will. My closet is rather Eastern Conference heavy with jerseys right now.

Do you even need to ask? There's only one element of the Pens that I don't hate and that's Dan Byslma. He seems like a stand-up guy and tells it like it is, unlike his predecessor. Everything else about that team - even Mario "I'm-Taking-My-Puck-And-Going-Home" Lemieux - just infuriates me.
