Not at all shocked. I had said that he'd be gone if the Sharks flamed out in the first round...but I think their collapse in the WCF was possibly more embarrassing, especially considering the way they dismantled us so handily. It'll be interesting to see Nabby in the East (and I'm certain that's where he'll go).

My brush with Dino came when I was 15, pushing carts one holiday season at the Toys R Us at Lakeside Mall. He was there buying gifts. Congrats to both him and Jimmy D.

Well, he did miss 25 games with Chicago this past season. Missing almost one-third of your team's games seems like a pretty good rest to me.

Plus I have a feeling that if guys like Huet or Campbell are waived, it may be detrimental to Chicago obtaining players through free agency. Players already saw when they did that to Khabibulin. If they do that to Huet and/or Campbell, it's going to make Chicago a less-than-desirable location to play in for fear of getting sent down to the minors at the drop of a hat.

So, you bash Toews for "mailing it in" in the Finals while meanwhile, Niemi was absolute GARBAGE in the finals with a 4+ GAA and a SV% under .900? Curious. Toews was the heart and soul of that team and he deserved the Conn Smythe. -
I think I'll play some NHL 10. Coincidentally, I was drafted by the Hawks and I'm at the first game of the playoffs, round 1 against the Kings.

Agreed. They've got a huge load of bandwagoners...but I think you might be able to say that about any of the O6 teams, Detroit included. It's the die-hards I'm happy for. The bandwagoners...well, if you look real close, you can see their Penguins shirts underneath their Blackhawks jerseys.
