Boudreau needs to be fired. There's no reason the Caps should have lost this series.

Fleury MIGHT be better than Niemi, but that's about it. He's very streaky and if I recall correctly, he had the worst stats of any Stanley Cup winning goaltender in the last 20 years or so.

Agreed. I mean, look at the trouble Ottawa gave them. Ottawa was an OT goal away from forcing a Game 7 and to be honest, given that 3OT Game 6, it's almost as though they played 7 games. Pittsburgh was supposed to absolutely demolish Ottawa and they didn't.

Is it safe to assume that Game 2 is on Saturday or are they holding off until Sunday? Just curious, since I'd miss a Saturday game, but not Sunday. EDIT: n/m, just saw the other thread with the official schedule. Sunday, w00t! Taking the wife out for her birthday on Saturday, get to be home for a game on Sunday.

Agreed. Lidstrom was making a lot of mistakes in a middle of the series, very uncharacteristic of him. And while this isn't surprising coming from me, I think Lilja deserves much better than a B. He was easily one of our best defensemen in the series and no one blocks shots like him.
