And there's the Pens PP.
-
That's the way I see it too. But then that becomes a judgment call in itself, so... *shrug*
-
Wow. I guess putting Leclaire between the pipes for Ottawa really WAS a good idea. CBJ fans are watching this game and going, "What the hell?!"
-
You realize that Toronto would then take more than 2 minutes any time it related to a Wings disputed goal.
-
Wasn't there a goal recently that counted even though the net was up off the ice? NHL not knowing its own rules yet again.
-
I hate all these commercials that keep showing donkey face with the Cup. Damn it, I STILL haven't made it into the shower yet. Damn playoffs.
-
Sens have woken up. Gotta stop with the stupid turnovers, though.
-
Ah, Dupuis taunting Leclaire? Stone them the rest of the way, Pascal.
-
Bah. Pens score. Finally. Took them, what, over 90 minutes?
-
3-0 SENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALFREDSSON!!!!!
-
And he's back already. That must have been serious. Friggin' diving baby.
-
A +1 for you, good chap.

Crosby to the locker room.

Eh, I'm downstairs watching a stream. I keep meaning to get in the shower (got back from the gym in the middle of the 1st) but haven't done it yet.

And I think in Ovie's case, it's carelessness combined with an almost childlike excitement and passion for the game. He's such a player that he sometimes lets it get the better of him. I don't for a second believe he intends to go out there and hurt people, not like Tootoo or Cooke who clearly want to take people out of the game. Hmm. Grapes looks kind of dressed-down today. I love how Grapes keeps butchering Varly's name.

Crosby attacking the refs? Ottawa PP. Now would be a good time to get it going again. Matt Cooke, still a piece of garbage and I'd love to punch him in the face. I also completely acknowledge that he would then likely kick my ass.
-
I think we can agree that if it was a lesser player, repeat offense or not, we'd probably see a one-game suspension. Like you said, Ovie's suspension was due to being a repeat offender and his star status couldn't help him there. Now if Hossa did it again in Game 6, then there might be an argument for suspension.

NO GOAL. Wow, the league got one RIGHT against Pittsburgh. Bettman was probably fuming that both refs called it no goal on the ice, making it that much harder for him to gift Pittsburgh with the tying goal.
-
Huh? Jovo's goal wasn't even anything special, considering he was standing on Jimmy when he did it. Weird ESPN just baffles me sometimes.

I notice no snakes have been thrown though. Intriguing.

Yep, they'll never say a single bad thing about Brodeur on the local telecasts. It's amazing. Contrast that with Ken, Mickey and Larry who will be brutally honest if Jimmy or Ozzie let in a goal that they shouldn't have. The fact of the matter is that Brodeur hasn't been very good at all in the past few years when it matters most (and that includes the Olympics). Look at his stats for the past three postseasons: 2010: 1-4, 3.01 GAA, .881 SV% 2009: 3-4, 2.39 GAA, .929 SV% 2008: 1-4, 3.19 GAA, .891 SV% It could be argued that playing seven games in 2009 made Brodeur's stats better than they might have otherwise been, but it's still a first round exit. Like I said earlier, he's not completely to blame - you can't win if you don't score - but Marty's not helping things by basically guaranteeing that his offense has to score at least 4 goals a game to have a shot at winning.

Yeah, their call of the GWG seemed a lot more subdued than it should have been for a 3OT GWG. I'm certain that if the Penguins had scored, they would have been screaming bloody murder.

I'll say it again: In Lou we trust bust.
