Penguins bashing thread(keep it within the site rules please)
edicius replied to HockeyTownHouligan's topic in General
Well, Crosby always DOES turn stiff as a board on the ice whenever someone checks him, so the tree analogy works pretty well. -
Wow, I rebounded nicely after tanking on Friday.
-
Especially since, despite what some people say, it WAS an illegal hit - intent to injure is against the rules.
-
That place has some good comedy. Wow. Worse than Clouts? Funny thing is, I thought Clouts actually played pretty well for us in the preseason.
-
That's what happens when your team plays to tie in OT, aiming for the shootout. Meanwhile...ugh...I picked BOTH Wings games wrong this weekend.
-
Wow...1/4 yesterday. Thankfully, my one correct pick was my double-up game (Anaheim/ NYI) and even that was a squeaker with Anaheim winning in OT.
-
You're going to have to work pretty hard to convince me that wasn't real.

Ryan Kesler signs 6-year/$30 million deal with Canucks
edicius replied to Blueliner's topic in General
I think this could end up being a bargain for the Canucks. Kesler's a good guy. Canucks may finally be emerging from the tailspin clusterfark that Burke left them in. -
Unless your name is Sean Avery (Brodeur Rule) or Sidney Crosby (All-Star Game Rule) or Evgeni Malkin (Rescinding Automatic Suspension Rule)... What a shifty, deceptive son of a *****.
-
NO ONE took a run at Crosby? Weak. I'm disappointed in you, Boston.
-
Of course, if Wiz played on the Pens, this thread would be entitled, "No suspension for Wisniewski". I'm 100% certain of that.
-
An eye for an eye, as it were. Makes sense.

Because the girl would shove the camera toward Crosby and he would crumple up on the ground stiff as a board.
-
That's exactly the way I see it. Because the league didn't suspend Cooke - because, according to them, head shots are well within the rules, despite being attempts to injure - it's open season for those players who dish them out. They can execute them with impunity and then dispute any suspensions with the full backing of the NHLPA because Cooke wasn't suspended.

Shoulder injury. Big loss for Vancouver. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=314385

*looks at the poll on the MVP page* Hmm, one of these things is not like the other...
-
Regarding Malkin, wasn't he guilty of some (unpenalized) headhunting with elbows recently? I seem to remember Don Cherry going off on a tirade about it.
-
Yup, I did, thus the "intriguing technicality" comment. The second comment was just commenting on how selective the league is with "automatic" suspensions anyway. Oh yep. Him and Scott Stevens both. The league has a weird memory when it comes to things like that.
-
Son of a... I missed the goal, how bad was it?
-
I'm rather surprised there's no suspension. But to sum it all up, Downie is a cheap-shotting ****** and Crosby is an embellishing, stiff-as-a-board diving ******. End of story.

Do you want to post the link to the forum rules or should I?

It was hilarious when he said at the beginning of the last Detroit/Chicago game (paraphrasing), "If Detroit wins this game, they'll make the playoffs. If they lose, they're in a world of hurt." Pierre felt all good about that when Chicago went up 2-0. Then once Detroit scored five goals in the 2nd period, Pierre was stammering when someone brought up his prediction from the beginning of the game, "Well, uh, I mean, Detroit could be in...uh...good position...uh...to...uh...you know..."

I can't even get a break when you get a late start!
