I'm still thinking it's Devils or Caps. Caps just about beat the Pens last season if it wasn't for some unbalanced officiating. And the Devils were already scary good without Kovy.

Okay, I'm biased as a Crosby-hater, so full disclosure and all that... Can you remember a time EVER (before Crosby, of course) that a player actually complained to the refs to have them tell the crowd to stop throwing hats after a hat trick? I'm asking seriously here. Because if not, it's crap like that that gives Crosby the "whining" reputation he so deserves. On that note, nice to see Ovechkin get another hat trick playing against the Pens.

McCrimmon's always been a problem. I've been saying it for ages. He destroyed the defensive system on the Wings in addition to the PK, two elements of the Wings' game that TANKED once he came aboard. Look at other teams on which he was assistant coach and how their defensive and PK ranking plummet after he takes the job. It's stunning.

Stevens also threw a lot of dirty hits, so those fights are understandable. It's not the fighting after dirty hits that irks us, it's the fighting after perfectly clean hits - which is what Clutterbuck's hit was.
