The Death of Me (live) by City and Colour.

I ain't gonna complain. I usually only watch the skills competition and even that's been sanitized to near unwatchability in recent years.
-
I don't even think I could bring myself to do that, I've already got three Shanny jerseys from two teams anyway!
-
So weird seeing him back in a Devils jersey. Looks like he's taken #18 since Gionta's got #14. Probably the first time I've ever been happy to see a Devils player score a goal. Good for Shanny.
-
Nine? NINE?! :battle: Well, at least FRW got an eight.
-
Ditto for his time with the Blues. When Osgood joined the Blues, that ship was beginning to sink, but he still managed to carry them into the postseason. When Osgood left...well, the Blues haven't reached the postseason since.

Kind of like how many people here keep insisting that Ozzie was traded to the Isles. He wasn't. When Hasek was signed, Ozzie was put on waivers. The Isles claimed him off waivers.

Just when things couldn't get worse for the Isles...

Isles just can't catch a break. Call it mismanagement or whatnot, but that team just continues to hit new lows. And T-Ruff, nice sig from the Revenge of the Fallen poster. -

Oops, I'm usually more thorough in checking things like that. Delete away, Matt. -

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=263590&lid...s=headlines_nhl Whoops. Just more mismanagement on Long Island. They assumed Dubie would clear waivers and...nope. The Isles' goaltender situation is dire. -
You're making the assumption that the Pens are even going to make the playoffs.
-
Ah, so there was no truth (or rather, it was faulty information) to those doping allegations. Good. Here's hoping the criminal charges come next for those scumbags.
-
Hmm. Odd. Their records are almost identical, but Garon's stats are worse than Sabourin's. Doesn't even make sense for the Pens salary-wise either. Garon: 6-8-0, 3.17 GAA, .895 SV% ($1,100,000, pending UFA) Sabourin: 6-8-2, 2.85 GAA, .898 SV% ($512,500, pending UFA)

It's a shame, too, for the true fans like you. Burke is a prime example of a GM mortgaging a team's future for what, thus far, has amounted to one season of success - last season, I was surprised the Ducks made it into the playoffs at all and when they did, they got steamrolled; this season, nothing seems terribly remarkable about them. For example, #9 Columbus is only three points back of them, with two games in hand and Anaheim's GF vs. GA are only a +1 at this point in the season. He just leaves a trail of wreckage in his wake wherever he goes. However, you've got a couple of great building blocks on the team in the form of Bobby Ryan and Francois Beauchemin (perhaps a little old to be a "building block", but he's young enough to count ) - there's no way Anaheim lets Beachemin walk, as they will NEED good defensemen and a player like Pronger has maybe only another 3 or 4 years left in him, tops.
-
If the Ducks let Parros walk, I have a feeling he'll end up in Toronto.
-
Agreed. I know there are a couple games where he's had some stinker calls both ways (I think the Chicago game before the WC?), but overall, he's a fair official and calls the game the way it should be called. If I was to go all conspiracy theory with a ref, however, it would be O'Halloran every time. McGeough, on the other hand, was just incompetent.

Just wanted to post my weight tracker from The Daily Plate. The time frame in the image is from when I started this whole weight loss thing (July 17th) through today. It's just amazing to look at and realize how far I've come.

He's a diver and he whines and he's treated special because he lives with the owner of the team! Oh wait, you weren't serious, were you?

Crosby.

*ahem* :rotflmao: Hey, if he wants to jump into that sinking ship...

That too. I hate it when players fight and leave their visor on (Iginla, for instance). Will this result in the tough guys losing the visor? Or ceasing to be a tough guy and in some cases losing their ability to be a meaningful addition to a roster (for the lesser-skilled tough guys out there)?
-
I can understand where they're coming from with this...but it's a slippery slope, being mainly decided upon by one freak occurrence. What next? If a player gets body checked, loses their helmet in the process and goes to join the play without going back to grab their helmet, is that an automatic penalty? Again, I can understand where they're coming from, but I wouldn't be surprised if more fight-related injuries occur because of helmets being ON (broken fingers, hands, etc.) rather than being tossed off. But, true, a broken hand isn't likely going to result in a fatality.

I'll be around for this one. And I don't predict scores too often, but I'm going with a 5-1 win on this one. Lilja with two assists.

I voted for Conks, just for the lulz.
