Ah, but you forget...we've lost 9 games, not just 5. But those OTLs were to teams like the Canucks, Ducks, etc. So, true, your point does still stand there. I guess there's no real pattern to go by. I don't know, I just want consistency.

Inexplicably, I'm inclined to agree with you. We beat the teams we shouldn't...and don't beat the teams we should.

We need a prolonged losing streak. I remember last season when we had that, what, five game losing streak and I think we were better for it. To hell with my Weekend Picks (and curse me all you want for saying this), but I hope we lose tomorrow. And Monday. And Thursday. Nothing else seems to get through to these guys. And Hossa's groin was clearly bothering him. Not a strong game for him.

Gonna miss the game tomorrow night since I'll be at a video shoot all day, plus I'll be without internet until Sunday. Blargh. FRW - you know what to do.

I think the Dallas play-by-play summed it up pretty well. "The Wings played a pretty arrogant first 20 minutes..." They thought they had this one in the bag before they stepped on the ice. Clearly, they didn't.

Turco very lucky there that Malts wasn't able to corral that puck properly.

Hudler's looked pretty decent all season, even with limited minutes. Cleary's markedly improved since he let that eye problem completely sort itself out. But it's true that they're both looking much more effective than Dats and Hossa tonight. Hossa especially. Zata's the only one of the top-six that's consistently looked good out there. Another nice defensive clear by Lilja.
