3-for-5 so far tonight. Go Colorado and give me 4-for-5 tonight! It'll make up for my disappointing showing on Saturday. I'm at least guaranteed 12-for-21...c'mon Avs, come back against the Nucks and give me that 13!

Guh, after going 3-for-4 on Friday, I only go .500 on Saturday with 6-for-12. If somehow I can pull off a perfect Sunday (unlikely), I can finish 14-for-21. Blargh.

Now THOSE were fantastic. Kudos to the Blackhawks marketing department for creating those. And even more kudos to the fact that they're jokingly pitting two of their own against one another. I think that's the cherry on the top.

Another thing about Crosby... Now, I can't say for certain as to the validity of this because A) I heard it on the radio, thus I didn't see it and B) It was the Ottawa radio feed. They described a "vicious two-handed chop to the ankle" of an Ottawa player that had just nudged him (and Crosby was subsequently penalized, with Matt Cooke whining to the ref questioning why a penalty was called). Did anyone watch the Pens/Sens game yesterday? Was it really a "vicious two-handed chop to the ankle"? And if so...has Crosby frustrations manifested in an attempt to injure? Personally, while I think he's a whiny little *****, I can't honestly believe that he'd go so far as to begin taking the Pronger route. But the way it was described on the Ottawa broadcast made me curious as to what exactly happened.

I'm a trend setter! But you've got me beat with those great hockey shots. All I have to even come close to that is from the last Wings game I attended (Wings @ Devils, 12/6/06, Wings 2, Devils 1). And I can tell how much heavier I look in this pic too.

Was thinking the same thing myself. I was in the car on the way back from the in-laws' house (chicken francaise for dinner, deeeeeeeeelish!) and heard the Zata and Hossa goals on the radio (thank you, XM); they were honestly the highlight of my entire day. Shame I missed hearing the OT and SO, but I'm honestly amazed we won. And you guys here know me well enough...I'm not one of the doomsayers, bandwagoners or what have you. I just thought that after the Blackhawks went up 4-2, this one was over. We went from a game we SHOULDN'T have lost (2-0) to a game we SHOULD have lost (4-2) and once again squeaked out a win that, considering everything I've read on here (again, didn't see/hear most of it as I was doing painting work in our new house/having dinner at the in-laws') we DESERVED to lose. Our record IS deceptive. Can this team play as good as their record indicates? Of course. So it's not questioned as much as it should be. But I'm coming around to the way of thinking that our record, great as it is, provides a built-in excuse for, frankly, some really, really s***ty hockey from our guys. "Well, we're winning hockey games, so who cares in the end, right?" That may work in the regular season. Check in again in April and see how that goes. Back to taking apart our bed frame (I'm back in the apartment tonight), discuss amongst yourselves...

Players need to be benched. Plain and simple. So-called STAR players need to be benched. A message needs to be sent. I'm so glad I haven't had the misfortune to watch this game like the rest of you (streaming feed died for me), but your descriptions set the tone. This team doesn't want it. Maybe Hossa. But the rest? Not a chance.

OMG CONKLIN IS TEH WORST GOLIE EVAR!~!!!!1111 Come on, someone had to do it. I'm not really here, I'm just cleaning up stuff on my mom-in-law's computer, but I saw that stinker of a goal on the streaming feed. Conklin's not looking good lately. Not outplaying Ozzie, that's for sure. And back to the installing of CCleaner and such...
