I feel more calm tonight too. I'm not really sure why. It might be the Xanax, but I could just be feeling better about our boys tonight after the effort they gave in the 3OT. Kronwall is just full of brainfarts still, though.

Nope, not in the least. I'm realizing that the hockey fans around here are either Rangers fans or Flyers fans. In the time I've lived out here (almost 9 years), the number of people I've seen wearing a Devils jersey (outside of a Devils game) I can count on one hand.

And you know...I've been getting a LOT of Wings support out here in Jersey. People seeing me wearing my Wings jerseys results in fists raised to the sky and shouts of "GO WINGS!". It's amazing. I even had a co-worker today show up at work today in a brand-new Wings hat to show his support. I've been wrong about Jersey all this time. It's not that they don't like hockey...they just don't give a s*** about the Devils.

Lids jersey on here (9-2 record), but no booze for me tonight, not after last night's drinking, er, issues with me. I have a cup of Earl Grey to calm me. That and Xanax.

Doc...I say this with all respect...SHUT THE @#$% up. Screw the red carpet. Screw the champagne. Screw the 34.3 seconds. And of course, NBC plays the age card again: NBC: "Der, you guys are old, you're gonna be tired, der." Lids: "Uh, no."

I just want to beat them. I want to beat them soundly. I want our guys to win CONVINCINGLY. And I want them to shut up these morons on NBC.

Therrien's whining - and make no mistake, it was whining - made him a joke around the hockey world. Listen to his voice, look at his face during those press conferences. A pout on his face, eyes looking all glassy, voice real low and almost unintelligible at times. That's whining. Babcock, meanwhile, spoke at the podium as he always has. Confident, eyes wide open, voice booming as usual. One can question the officiating without sounded like a blubbering baby and Babcock proved that. Therrien, on the other hand, is still a joke.

Well, from where I am right now, I could hop on a train and be at the Rock in about 45 minutes. If I stay on the same train into NY, I could be at MSG in another 15 minutes. Tack on another 45 minutes and I'm in Uniondale to see an Isles game.
