PP upcoming.

OH! Two nice chances there.

Therrien (to McGuire): "Welllll...obstruction...penalties...Malkin..."
-
And again, Homer gets his helmet mugged off him after the whistle. No call.
-
Crosby looks like he's dazed on the bench there.

Because of all these Edge commercials we've been subjected to during the playoffs, I will NEVER buy Edge shave gel. Ugh.
-
Apparently. Wouldn't expect anything less from O'Halloran, though.

Ozzie rules.
-
Well, looks like Therrien got to the refs.

Hradek on made an excellent point about this on XM today. Right now, after losing two games, it's all "What's wrong with the Penguins?". But, god forbid, Pittsburgh wins the next three games, it will suddenly be "What's wrong with the Red Wings?". The media has more to talk about when it comes to the underdog.

Okay, I stupidly ate 7 tacos for dinner and have had 4 beers. So we're either going to score 4, 7 or 11 goals tonight. Or I'm going to throw up. Possibly both.

Wow. And how much longer does Therrien have on his contract?

Well, I could still get tix. However, I can't afford $250 per ticket (just checked Ticketmaster). Pittsburgh's a hole anyway. Last time I was there, some guy tried to sell me weed and then I later found out from someone else that he was posing as an undercover officer posing as a drug dealer and would shake you down for all your cash. No real desire to go back after that.

Franzen: "WHAT'S MY NAME?" Malkin: "Mule!" Franzen: "LOUDER!" Malkin: "MULE!"

Why are the Pens automatically annoited the "dynasty" tag?
edicius replied to MalkinsJock's topic in General
Thirded. Hossa's merely a rental, so he's not coming back and it's very likely that Malkin will split sooner rather than later. -
It's so good to see him smiling and happy. I miss the guy.

Same here. If you had shown me that article and not mentioned that it was written by Pronger...well, I couldn't have even ventured a guess as to who wrote it. It's really spot on. Respectful of the Wings, even. I still hate Pronger and think he's a ****** of the highest order, that'll never change. But I'll give him high marks, just this one time because above all, I'm a hockey fan and Pronger wrote a great hockey article/analysis.

Today, for the brief time I'm at work (leaving early for a tat appointment ):

I will fully admit that I ragged on Holland for not making the huge blockbuster move we all wanted at the deadline (Hossa). I will also fully admit that I was dead wrong for doing so. This is why he's the Wings GM and I'm just some guy clacking away behind a keyboard.

If our guys were embellishing, they still got nothing on Ribeiro.
-
I don't know if I'm way off on this, but I get the feeling that Malkin is to Crosby as Fedorov was to Yzerman. I'm not even factoring in the coincidence that Malkin is Russian either. Malkin wants to be "the man" and that spot will always belong to Sid on the Pens.
-
They were definitely more consistent than Devorski and O'Halloran. It wasn't a "Let's give Pittsburgh four PPs in a row...oops, now we have to give some to Detroit!" kind of game like O'Halloran calls. The penalties were back and forth. Sure, there were some borderline calls, some flat out missed calls (on both ends), but it was a consistency that we didn't see in Game 1.

I'm...shocked. There's no way that could have been Pronger. It was too well-written and...well, accurate.
