So, let me get this straight... If you say something bad about the Pittsburgh Penguins: $20,000 fine. If you deliberately slam an opposing player's head into the glass: $2,500 fine. Seems legit. -

This is just going to prove that league discipline will continue to be ineffective and inconsistent as long as Bettman is in charge. As much as I like Shanny, he's under Bettman's thumb and I highly doubt he's able to do anything without Bettman's say so. -
People unaffiliated with the Wings are even calling for a suspension on that. I still doubt we see it, though. Shanny, as much as I like him, is still under Bettman's thumb.
