I will concur wholeheartedly. I'll admit that I wasn't happy with Dom this season and I was nervous to see if that inconsistent regular season play would carry over into the playoffs. It didn't. He's in rare playoff form once again. This is the time of the year he lives for and he's showing it. And I find it funny in that Gatorade commercial with Crosby that they make some big deal of him scoring on TOSKALA of all people. What, Dan Cloutier was busy?

Wow. You're insane. Mickey is probably one of the LEAST "homerific" color guys out there. Meanwhile, McGuire spews unsubstantiated nonsense like, "Hasek's trouble in the locker room" or "It's 50/50 Caps and Flyers fans here" during yesterday's WSH/PHI game (when the actual ratio, to anyone with eyes, was probably closer to 90/10). McGuire makes up stuff to make himself sound knowledgeable and important. Even Milbury's called him on his bulls*** on more than one occasion.

Whoever was the show before them on XM, they were actually bashing McGuire and Milbury, so at least there's some sanity there. Apparently Milbury called the Capitals the "Crapitals" during a broadcast and Ted Leonsis got a bit miffed and called Bettman. Bettman made Milbury personally apologize to Leonsis. Then McGuire said that the arena had half Flyers fans, half Caps fans (trying to denigrate the Caps fanbase) when the arena was a SEA of red, thus, Caps fans and maybe 700 Flyers fans.

Okay, I finally watched the clip...and it just looked goofy. If Avery keeps his stick and hands down, it's really not much different than basic screening of the goaltender. However, if he keeps his stick and hands down and continues to face Brodeur, his screening advantage is minimized significantly since he's watching Brodeur and not the play on the ice. Avery was just trying to get under Marty's skin and he seemed to when Marty gave him a shot to the face (which I'm surprised wasn't penalized).

Read about in in the NJ Star Ledger today and was a bit curious why he was told that if he did it again (in Game 4), even though it's not against the rules, it would be called a penalty. Does anyone else have a problem with this? I mean, what are they going to call him for? Screening?

Blech. Well, hopefully the Rangers win the next two (sorry JD), since I doubt we're going to see the Devils score 4 goals in a game again.
