Okay, I missed this one last night (I've been thinking I'm bad luck, but perhaps this loss bucks that trend), so can someone rational give me a rundown?

Worked pretty well for me. In fact, I experienced minimal lag from the external components yesterday, the main sources of my usual lag on here. Considering how busy the site was yesterday, I think it held up fantastically.

And just because it hasn't been said yet, Pierre McGuire is a tool.

This is the way I see it, logically and not all panicky: Ken Holland did not adequately address this team's needs at the deadline, not even from a "depth" standpoint. If we face injuries in the post-season, we're all but guaranteed to not find ourselves going very deep. Can this team win the Cup? Of course. But that's assuming the ENTIRE roster is healthy. Once injuries are introduced into the mix, all bets are off. We're simply not deep enough to overcome those injuries.

Preds get Hlavac from the Bolts for a 7th round pick.

What absolutely baffles me is that Holland specifically saved that cap room for deadline acquisitions. Oh well.
