Nope, he feels acrobatic and likely a bit tired too, since our guys apparently forgot how to play D. Wow, another penalty for Dats?
-
Dom got lucky there. Owes the goalpost a frosty beverage or two.

The shame of it all was that I actually LIKED Giggy back in '03...this was before I realized WHY he was stopping every puck (Michelin Man). I still think Selanne's return will result in that "shot in the arm" like a new coach behind the bench (like Selfish Scott's return did), but following that, they'll fall back into mediocrity. All but three teams beneath the Ducks can easily overtake them with games in hand and that last losing streak of theirs didn't even help them keep pace, thus their need to play at least .600 hockey to even have a CHANCE. I like stats. But back to this game...our PP is anemic tonight. Again. Something needs to change with our special teams play before the postseason.

Koivu and Datsyuk off for roughing? Go Dats!
-
Maltby down the runway...Mick's theorizing that he could have a broken nose. And it IS a 4 minute PP. Lemaire's silently seething.
-
Well, if they don't play at least .600 hockey the rest of the way, it's quite possible. Those games in hand really make their placement in the conference look better than it is. I still ain't ready to say that they're "back" due to a three-goal game against the Isles of all teams. PP upcoming...4 minutes? Nope, just two for roughing.
-
And I'm even more disgusted that Anaheim's up 3-0 on the Isles, though that isn't surprising considering it IS the Isles.
-
Lame. I start watching and we start losing.
-
That's exactly how I pictured you. Creepy.
-
Neat site. Apparently we have a 99.98994% chance of making the playoffs. We could actually go 4-24-0 the rest of the way and STILL make the playoffs. Amazing. Meanwhile, if the Ducks don't play at least .600 hockey the rest of the way, they're almost certainly out.
-
Eh, he's injured, so I thought I'd give him a little pass on this list.
-
Can't argue with that, in terms of past players. Can't stand Baby Mario.

1) Pronger 2) S. Niedermayer 3) Tootoo 4) Jackman 5) Iginla Honorable mention: Perry, Crosby

THANK YOU. You can say all you want about the talent on the Ducks roster, but the numbers don't lie - they're going to have to go on a MAJOR tear for the rest of the season to make the playoffs and avoid the same letdown as the 1995-96 Devils.
-
Imagine this, though...if they win/lose games at the same rate as all the teams below them within striking distance (which means all but three) and those teams win all their games in hand, the Ducks end up in 12th place at BEST.
-
See, I think when our first line scoring begins to falter, that's when our secondary scoring kicks into gear. I'm not terribly worried yet. If we start getting shut out with regularity, THEN I'll worry.
-
Exactly. Initial boost - like changing a coach behind the bench - and then back to mediocrity. (Sorry, Duck Guy, I can't help it! )
-
Ducks lose 3-0. - Shut out in back-to-back games - Have only scored 5 goals in their last 6 games - 1 point in their last six games - Six-game losing streak! I'm loving it.
-
Woooooo! What is that now, 7th win in a row? And to make the night even better, the Ducks are 4:21 away from their 6th loss in a row.
-
'sokay, we love ya anyway, Rabs.
-
Chara off for roughing. PP Detroit.
-
Nope, Boston scored the first goal and from there, 'twas three unanswered from Detroit (Zata, Dats, Raffi).
-
RAFALSKI!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3-1!
-
PP upcoming, Chara goes off.
