Wow, we haven't had a SOG since our last goal.
-
OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE!!!!!!!!111 Of course, it probably would have looked more routine were he not behind the net.
-
Knuble scores, 3-0 Flyers.
-
DATSYUK! WHAT A GOAL!
-
Actually, were they to lose this game, it would be their 6th straight loss with only 1 point out of a total possible 12. The teams below them can really roll over them with games in hand.

What did he say? I'm stuck with the NESN feed.
-
Bruins PP. Sammy off for...uhm...something. Probably nothing.
-
And without starting another thread...Ducks are losing to the Flyers 1-0 in the 2nd.

*blink* I leave the room to get some pizza and we score? Zata?
-
Osgood is just insane out there. Amazing.
-
We were cycling too well in Boston's zone and Homer was in front of the net. So, of course the refs had to call something.
-
Phantom interference penalty on Homer. No surprise there. Even NESN didn't see it.
-
PP upcoming.
-
Bruins are just pwning us out there in our zone. Good thing we can kill penalties.
-
Bruins now to a 5-on-3. Yay.
-
PK upcoming, Lilja goes off.
-
Here's hoping a drink or two will improve this game.

Okay, I have to get in on this...

So much for that shot of offense... ...and defense. I may have been right in my earlier comparison of Niedermayer's return being akin to a new coach behind the bench - it gives the team a brief spark (their 6 or 7 game winning streak, however much that was), but after the shine wears off, the team falls back into mediocrity. I have a feeling the same thing may happen when Selanne finally gets on the ice, but the damage might already be too far gone. EDIT: And I'll be man enough to admit that I really, really enjoy seeing the Ducks struggle like this. Almost to the point of obsession. Sorry, Duck Guy. I like ya, just don't like your team.

See, I knew this. And every time I see them in the standings, despite people's remarks of where they are in the standings ("They're only three points out of the division lead!" and so on), I look at the other teams and see what bad shape Anaheim is really in. They can't score. They NEED Selanne. And with their current record combined with other teams' games in hand, it could very well be too little too late. Additionally, with the games in hand that other teams underneath them have, Anaheim's really shooting themselves in the foot with this current five-game losing streak (1 point out of a possible 10). They're losing all the games they need to win to even keep pace with the teams underneath them.

Whenever I notice that the Ducks are ahead in the standings, I then look at how many games in hand the teams below them have on them (on top of a four-game losing streak). And then it makes me feel better.

Apparently he plays on the Sharks.
-
That's an understatement. Last night was the very definition of "stealing a game".

It's notable that this is his first upper body injury. All the previous injuries have been lower body, I believe.
