Or how about when they were pissing and moaning that Downey interfered with Moen (never mind the fact that the puck was coming right past Moen)...and then five seconds later, Moen clearly interferes with Downey and not a word.

Not a big surprise. I like Kovy, but it should have been at least 5 games. But, again, no surprise. Marquee players are treated differently. We *cough* only need to look to last year's postseason to realize that.

On XM 204, Espo expressed some disdain for the choice of Niedermayer as well, so we're not alone. "Come on, the guy's played 14 games this season...there's no way he should be going when there's tons of guys more deserving." A-freakin'-men.

Honestly, I thought it was pretty even. It wasn't that the Kings played badly - I actually thought they put on a pretty good effort - we just played better, Osgood especially. The Kings were definitely pressuring a lot into the latter stages of the game and that entails puck possession on their behalf.

At this point, taking a job as President/GM of the Leafs has to have the same appeal as coaching the Devils. Except the Devils coach has some actual input on the team, but can get fired at the drop of a hat. For the Leafs, there's no input on the running of the team, but job security is #1!

I don't mind Versus TOO much these days, if only because I get a nice HD feed. Still can't stand their PbP or in-studio talking heads (looking at you, Engblom). But I'm watching for the game itself and not them, so it's not a bad deal.

I'm wondering if this might be the end of fan voting, since there's a distinct lack of those voted in actually attending the ASG. Luongo, Brodeur, Crosby, Zetterberg, Zubov...and then even the 2nd choices are passing on it (Rafalski)! I hereby dub this (Ozzie, Lids and Dats notwithstanding ) the Chopped Liver ASG!
