If I've got two programs recording, I can't watch anything live, only either one of the things that's recording or a third previously recorded program. Unfortunate, but it usually doesn't affect me too much.

You and me both. I heard that on XM driving home from work today and was just floored. Tons more deserving players in the West, players that didn't sit out half the season. More proof...it's just a popularity contest, not an "All-Star Game". That said...eh, there's more important things to worry about.

Exactly. If we were looking on paper, Pronger and Niedermayer would be two of the worst defensemen on the Ducks, stats-wise. Plus/minus: Pronger -1 Niedermayer 0 Meanwhile... O'Donnell +4 Schneider +13 Stats on paper don't always mean a whole lot, unless you're using them to argue your point.

I'll second that. Aside from the great score for us, that was probably the most enjoyable non-Detroit feed I've watched all season.

Believe me, if it wasn't 600+ miles away, I'd be all up in that. San Jose feed has this game summed up pretty well: The Wings are executing very well; the Sharks aren't executing at all.

Nah, not worried. I chalk it up to that similar jump a team gets after a coaching change. With the exception of a couple of games, they're still having problems scoring. I recall seeing a bunch of one-goal games going to them, at least a few of them being 2-1 scores. A few of them in OT, to boot. Now, if they get Selanne back, it MAY help that...but there's always the risk of messing with established chemistry (which is what worries me about what may or may not happen with the Wings at the deadline). But I ain't worried. We have a better team than we did last season. The Ducks, on the other hand, don't.

Simply put...he's home. This is where he gets to be the player he was always meant to be. There's something that happens when a player dons the Winged Wheel (except for Uwe Krupp, of course).

Sharks are 3-for-4 on the PP so far tonight. Thankfully, Dom just made sure that it wouldn't be 4-for-5 just yet.
