In any case, Babcock probably has some logic behind it that we may never know (just like his lack of ice time for Rex). I ain't complaining though, Dom's doing his job tonight.

Nabokov has given up fourteen goals in his last eight periods. Ouch. He's slumping just like Ozzie is and Wilson still has the nerve to downplay Ozzie.

Like I said earlier in the thread, my guess is that Babcock didn't want to chance Ozzie having a bad game, giving Wilson more ammo to pitch his whine-fest of "Nabokov should start in the All-Star Game! He's the best! See?!" Ozzie was interviewed earlier on the Detroit feed and according to those on here that saw it, he seemed fine with it. I used to be of the mind that Babcock had something major against Ozzie, but he's changed my thinking this season. I don't think he's trying to slight Ozzie by not playing him tonight.

BAH! That was a stupid delay of game penalty to take. I mean, there's 8 seconds left in the period, Nick. Gotta be more careful. That said, I still hate that penalty. Should be a discretionary call.

I know, that's the weirdest thing. Maybe they're just trying to discredit him so they don't have to make any more legit calls involving him for at least a couple more months. I mean, EVERYONE on the ice - Wings and Sharks - could see that was a perfect 10 dive...and the refs still call it. More proof that these officials don't know what the hell they're doing. But it was still an entertaining dive.

Yeah, they just meant the Sharks penalties. One of the guys even said of Homer's penalty, "I dunno, I like that play..."

Well, there's this big sheet of ice and they carry these curved sticks... Cleary actually made a good neutral zone hit, popped the puck to Drapes and he was off to the races, shorthanded slapper.

And for a brief moment, he was facing that same 50% that Nabby had at the other end. Stupid low shot counts! Just made a great save down there though, so it's getting better.
