The game's over, harold.

Are those "Texans" ads on the boards lit up or something? That's just distracting as hell. EDIT: Must be...they switched to AT&T ads. Is that safe to have LCD or whatever ads like that on the boards?

DOM! DOM! DOM! He's solid tonight. Great to see.
-
Hey, he's gotta be better than Turco. Three goals on four shots against Minnesota? Yikes.
-
Smith with the save of the game. Holy crap.
-
Well, that was an uneventful 5v3.
-
Delay of game on the Stars. Smith whiffed it out of play. Five-on-three for 52 seconds.
-
Ah, makes sense then. Silly glitches. WHAT A SAVE BY DOM!!! Shorthanded too.

Usually if that shows up in your sig, it means that whatever image you were using was too large and a mod had to edit it. Just so ya know.

Another Wings penalty. Lids goes off for tripping. That was a dive. Really embellished.
-
Pain Train dishing out the body. Nice.
-
The hell? Smith dove like crazy. He was out of the net and out of the crease. Fair game.
-
Uh oh, Smith going after Drake.
-
Rafalski draws first blood! Nice.

Oof. I think I did that on no less than three message boards last night. I need to go assess the damage...

Geez, I just found another great Don Cherry one... He's on some talk show with Scott Thompson of The Kids In The Hall. For those of you that don't know, Scott Thompson is ***. And Grapes being...eh, shall we say, less than an extremely tolerant fellow...he was a great sport. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYjqaZIOUws...feature=related

Logically, Babcock is the only choice. Although, I have a feeling that if the Ducks make the playoffs, the league will decide to award Randy Carlyle with the Jack Adams.

You have no idea. Working at a college campus when there are no classes going on until next week? And even then, the classes are minimal. I've been surfing Fark and YouTube all day. Hey, gotta make my workspace comfy! Plus, that Bumblebee is functional - he's the MP3 speaker one from Sharper Image...dances and everything. And given that I listen to XM all day at work, it's handy. At my back, I even have a couple Transformers posters, in addition to some Wings and Red Sox stuff. Hmm, my office isn't too bad, I guess.

You know, if he comes cheap and doesn't screw up signing Zata...can't go wrong with a bit more scoring depth.

Bored at work, so I thought I'd contribute negatively to the thread. That's actually just what I did the other day, in fact. Popped a bracket on New Year's Day (yay! ) and went in to the ortho the following day, at which time he fixed the bracket and tightened everything up. Eek.

That stat IS a little biased in favor of the 2007-08 team, however. Keep in mind that the shootout wins that we have would instead have been ties for the 1995-96 team. With that in mind, we would only have 26 wins right now. Still, it's nothing to sneeze at.

I think Bill Clement, of all people, summed it up well on XM yesterday. He was talking about Ottawa's recent troubles, also mentioning the 7-game losing streak they had not too far back. (paraphrasing) "We shouldn't be surprised by this, though. All teams in the NHL have had their ups and downs during this season...except Detroit, though." And he's right. We haven't endured any major losing streaks. We haven't endured any long periods where it's been win-one-lose-one-win-one-lose-one. That's not to say we haven't faced adversity already during the season - we have. We've come back from 2-goal deficits. We've overcome the loss of Zetterberg and Holmstrom. We've become worldbeaters when the refs refuse to let up on us. We're a great team this year, it's as simple as that.

And since this is a partial Anaheim topic...uhm...what the hell's going on in this pic from TSN last night?
