Okay, I know the Pistons played Game 1 against the Bulls today (and won). But I'm flipping through sports news and I notice that Utah and Houston are playing their Round 1, Game 7 game tonight. Is that a normal occurence? Obviously, since they're in the Western Conference, it doesn't affect the lineups in the East, but I'm so used to the NHL where the next round doesn't start until all the Round 1 games have been played.

I'm curious, who was the single pick they got wrong? Means they picked the Wings to win at least one of their previous 2 series, unlike everyone else. EDIT: N/m, just found the link on TSN. Looks like Dreger picked the Rangers last round and Panger picked Dallas wrong in the first round. Not too shabby, guys. I made the same picks myself. And Roenick is only one win better than the monkey. There's a joke here somewhere...

I'll be one of the first to admit, I didn't think we'd make it past Calgary...and then we did. Next, San Jose comes along and I'm certain we're sunk at that point (especially after Game 1)...and then we won. Now comes Anaheim, the team that started the Wings' recent string of early playoff exits with an embarassing sweep against the defending champs. In all honesty, I don't see us getting past them...but look how well that worked out for us in the first two rounds. At this point, anything is possible. We have just as good a chance of moving on to the Finals as Anaheim, no matter what all the pundits say. I just love the fact that we're finally going right up against adversity and facing it with composure. It's like a "Exorcise The Demons Of Postseasons Past" tour at this point.

Perhaps Bettman has a dictionary with a definition of "current" with which I'm not familiar.

Here's one that I had been messing with during the 2nd round, decided to finally complete it today.

I won't lie...if we don't win the Cup, I'll be disappointed. Who wouldn't be? But the fact that we've made it to the Conference Finals, against all the hockey pundits' predictions - I mean, come on, this team wasn't even supposed to make the postseason - I feel really good about that. It's a hell of a lot more than I ever expected this season.
