San Jose's tilting the ice in their favor yet again. Could someone phone down to the bench and let our guys know that the game started at 2?
-
Detroit penalty coming up.
-
That was an absolutely horrible, weak goal. Dom needs to be much better than that.
-
God damn it.
-
So even the LOCAL MARKET affiliates are getting screwed too? EDIT: Clarity.
-
And meanwhile, on my NBC affiliate, there's talking to a couple of very odd looking people about the TriBeCa Film Festival.
-
Now, now...that's just beating a dead horse.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=206555&hubname=nhl Let the goonery continue for another season!
-
DAMMIT. I don't hate the Sabres, but man...I want the Rangers to move on.
-
It went off Girardi (who assisted on the Rangers goal)...bad break for him. If he wasn't in the crease, it likely would have passed through the crease.
-
And I have no problem with that. Rags are my #2 team. AH @#$%. Buffalo scores, 7.7 seconds left. We're going to OT.
-
And it's even funnier because it's Dion Phaneuf. Holy crap...they might pull this one off! Miller to the bench.
-
SOG are 31-17 Buffalo. Lundqvist is the man.
-
Wow, I'll be damned. I already got an e-mail back from NHL TV:
-
This is totally unacceptable. I'd love to see ABC or FOX or whoever has the NFL these days pull that kind of @#$% on a sudden death game. Because you know they never would. The fact of the matter is, the NHL shouldn't let this happen. The best course of action would be to simulcast the game on NBC and Versus (with the NBC feed) and then, if it runs over, pick up the rest of the game on Versus. It ain't perfect, but it would be a solution. And for @#$%'s sake, NBC *wanted* these afternoon games. Don't screw US over because your network doesn't know how to schedule things. Ugh. I'm getting progressively angrier as this message progresses, so I better cut it off here before I get really irrational. EDIT: Okay, I sent a nicely-worded letter to them, totally polite and totally rational. My closing statement was something like, "The NBA, NFL or MLB wouldn't allow something like this to occur. Why does the NHL? What if this was an elimination game? What if it was Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals? What then?"

For me, it's partly due to the Original 6 matchup, partly due to Shanny...but mostly because I might actually be able to see a Wings playoff game live at Madison Square Garden.
-
Believe me, I was actually rooting for the Nucks in this round (although, if the Wings were to advance, I think we match up better against Anaheim). You definitely got jobbed by the refs last night, but unfortunately, Vancouver's scoring wasn't quite up to snuff. And believe me, we know all about scoring problems in the postseason. You'll be back, there's no doubt.
-
You're the big cheese of love? Mind you, I haven't taken French in years...
-
That would be a perpetual suck-gig for Scott Clemmenson, considering he gets, what, 5 starts a season behind Brodeur? I'm not surprised about the call-ups, though. Listening to XM this morning, Buffalo did the same thing as their minor league club is out of the playoffs.

I'll eat a dozen plates of crow in honor of Andreas. He's easily been one of our best defensemen in this postseason, even outshining Nick during a couple of the captain's rare off-games. He's doing everything out there - hitting, blocking shots and even trying to create offensive opportunities. I can't blame him for those shots from the point last night that didn't do much; he was being defensively responsible and just trying to get a rebound out of Nabby without too much risk involved. I also can't blame him for the goal scored off his head. That was just a fluky, fluky circumstance, out of his control.

Highlights (sort of) from ESPN. Whoever that is doing the reporting had too much coffee for this hour.
-
Yeah, Matt had a violent case of hiccups.
-
And what is it with the Sharks and 2-0 leads? Weird.
-
Dom was the difference in the OT. Just about every save he made was a huge one. I'll let my Sharks fan friend tell the story:
-
Nah, I've been eating so much crow lately, I've been going gourmet. Sauteed in garlic butter with some orzo pasta.
