Every time I've watched that replay, it hasn't looked like a swing toward Iginla. It's looked like a frustrated goaltender pointing at a player who just elbowed him in the chops and is asking the ref, "WTF?!" Maybe it's just me.

It's an alternate form of the internet-favorite form of showing laughter, "LOL". It is derived from the pronounciation of the plural "LOLS". Exactly. Maltby was sandwiched by two Calgary players and into Kipper. We saw it, NBC saw it, even Brett Hull saw it.

Well, when the Flames lose the Calgary media...they've lost the war. But this little snippet bothered me: Uh...they DID call Maltby for goaltender interference (even though he was bowled in Kipper by two Calgary players). And Cleary didn't even make contact with Kipper's glove, thus, it shouldn't have been called. Overall, though, the tone of the article is correct. The Flames made themselves look like a bunch of classless goons...and everyone around the league (except for most of the Flames faithful) saw it.

Still waiting for suspensions. Yesterday, though, the Wings showed that they can play through a large disparity of penalties and prevail. Let's do it again in Calgary, because we know there's going to be a glut of BS calls.

Keep in mind, these people that are saying that Lebda was deliberately trying to injure Langkow are also the ones that said Draper was deliberating targeting Regehr's knee.

NHL.com shows McLennan logging 18 seconds of ice time. 18 seconds. Did Babcock say anything in a postgame conference? NBC didn't carry anything here...

The one time they seem to THINK that Kipper got run was when Maltby got plowed into him by Stuart (?). That was when the first goal was waived off because of a BS goaltender interference penalty.

Maybe the Flames are hoping that our boys will be so pissed, they'll take a bunch of stupid penalties tomorrow. I'm hoping that our boys will be so pissed...they'll end the series.

Kipper got pulled, McLennan put in for 13 seconds...and takes a chop at Franzen's midsection with his stick. Ejected from the game, suspension coming up. Then, Iginla buttended and then cross-checked Schneider, SHOULD be another suspension for the buttending.

Did Playfair have a chat with Quenneville or something? Here's hoping Iginla gets suspended along with McLennan.

Yeah, I know, you're right...just spoke out of anger. I have to believe that Playfair did that on purpose though. There should be some serious reviews going on, because it's far too coincidental that McLennan JUST comes out...and then deliberately goes out to injure Franzen. I'd like to see at least 5 games for that, it was clearly intent to injure.

I'd like to see Playfair get fined/suspended for that, because that was CLEARLY an ordered hit.

You know what...never thought I'd say this...RUN KIPPER AND HURT HIM. They'll have to go to a third string goaltender. I NEVER want to see a player hurt. But god damn it...
