Ugh, I hate this uneasy feeling before (and sometimes during) playoff games. I didn't drink enough yet to handle this...

Calgary most definitely doesn't suck. Did they play well last night? Definitely not. But it's one game of a seven game series. I was on Cloud 9 last night, but this morning, it was back to that nervousness. I won't be content until we have a good lead in the series (meaning 2-3 games).

Couldn't have been Clement, since I remember how much he was gushing over Forsberg after he missed the 2001-02 regular season and reappeared in time for the playoffs...and THAT was a hell of a lot more suspicious than Zetts' injury! EDIT: Dammit, I got beat by two of you? I hate you guys.

We can sympathize with that, believe me (hell, look at my avatar...that sums it up pretty well ) If you look back at GDTs for the Wings over the past couple seasons, we've felt our share of frustrations, objectively looking at the team on ice. It's one thing to be on a high (like we are right now - and believe me, we haven't felt like that often this season), but it's another thing entirely to throw emotion out the window and essentially think like a Vulcan - using logic to really see what's going on with your club. I'll admit, Calgary doesn't look right. Could be Playfair. Could be a bunch of other factors too. And on the other side of the coin, I haven't seen the Wings play like this in ages. It's a lot to take in.

And NJ's playoff attendance embarrassments continue. Good luck with that arena in Newark.

Babcock just doesn't seem to have a good grasp on positioning for the power play. I never thought of it until now, but it's probably part of why our power play suffered this season.

I was puzzled when Versus tried to say that Detroit's acquisitions of Bertuzzi and Calder were comparable to Calgary getting Stuart and Conroy...

As I mentioned in another thread...my finest memory of Iginla is when he fought Hatcher in '04 and kept pulling his visor back down over his face so Hatch would smack his knuckles on it, instead of his face.
