6-on-3. Ugh.
-
Well, at least penalties have been even tonight.
-
Still pressing. Good to see, er, hear.
-
I haven't been listening to the game tonight, just checking NHL.com for info...and was surprised to see Lilja with a fighting major. How gritty of him! Edit: Wow, multiple days later, I catch a typo...HIM, how gritty of HIM...I'm not gritty at all!

What do we think about Bertuzzi replacing Holmstrom on the ZDH line?
edicius replied to sean's topic in General
I'd prefer Bertuzzi on a second line role, keeping Homer up on the 1st line, but that's just me. Knowing Babcock, he'll move Sammy back to the 1st line. -
As far as I know, yes.
-
Guh, I blew it by going 1/5 on Sunday. A shame after such a good Saturday too.
-
Wasn't Tootoo the one who told Cheli last year, "You've got a year left, tops, old man..."? I'm trying to remember.
-
Which means that Babcock will probably bench Rex instead of Sammy.

With the exception of last season, goaltending hasn't been our weak spot in past playoffs. Cujo played phenomenally against Anaheim and Calgary. It just so happened that there were a couple of hot goalies named Giguere and Kiprusoff at the other end that shut down our scorers. At this point, Ozzie or Dom, it doesn't matter. If our scorers can't net more than one or two goals a game on average, we're going to have problems that extend far beyond the net.

Holy crap, I went 10/12 on Saturday. Only games I picked wrong were Detroit/St. Louis () and San Jose/Carolina. 12/16 overall so far. I want top 5, dammit!
-
And if it's true, as reported, that Niemenen went to the hospital to check on Lebda, he's not as much of a dirtbag as I had previously assumed him to be.
-
I dunno, though. With our crappy road record this season, I'll take my chances with home ice advantage.
-
Exactly. Despite the fact that the puck WAS in Bacashihua's pads...you can't SEE it. It like the Schroedinger's Cat problem...as long as we can't see the puck, it is simultaneously in and NOT in the net. You only know for sure once you see it. And once you see it...it's not in the net.

You know what? We shouldn't have been in the shootout in the first place. We should have buried this one in regulation. We went down early and couldn't recover until late in the 3rd. I'm not pissed about the shootout. Even if it had been counted a goal, we likely would have lost on the next round with the way Babcock chooses shooters. I'm pissed about the fact that this team can't get up for games against non-playoff teams like the Blues.
-
No goal. Four in a row. Whee.
-
With how far back Bacashihua went into the net, that HAS to be in. If you look at where it pops out after he scoots up, compare it to where his legs were in the net, it was in. However, that ain't conclusive unless you actually SEE it and not assume it.
-
But remember, we come back big from losing streaks! So if we lose four in a row in the playoffs...oh wait...crap...
-
Cleary up...do we stay alive or lose...?
-
Blues aren't going to get screwed AGAIN like against Ottawa, are they? Dom cleared scooted it in. Goal.
-
It's in. Great.
-
Weight...and it's being reviewed as it looks like Dom may have dragged it in.
-
Bert...stoned by Bacashihua.
-
Stempniak, missed the goal.
-
Dats, no goal.
