Last I read, Ozzie IS supposed to get the start against St. Louis, but that could change at the drop of a hat. Doesn't really matter to me who's in goal either way (both Dom and Ozzie are playing great), I'd like to see some scoring from someone other than players with the intials P. D....

Or when he actually HAS a great chance to shoot...and does nothing. I can't remember if that was in the 2nd or 3rd period, but I was livid when I saw that. He had a great angle, Norrena was screened...and he just...flutters the puck off toward the blue line. Doesn't even qualify as a pass.

Yeah! We could, like, lose 3 straight in the playoffs and then...oh wait, that's panic city, never mind. (And yes, I'm kidding, I'm not equating this skid to the playoffs... )

It baffles me the uneven treatment Babcock gives some of the players on this team. Lilja and Lang are consistently botching up things (but at least Lang's got offensive upside lately) and Babcock gives them all the ice time in the world. Rex manages to keep scoring with limited ice time...and it stays limited. I realize he's on the inside looking out and we're on the outside looking in...but what is it that he sees that we don't? Is Rex really THAT bad at practice or something? Are Lilja and Lang the second coming of Bourque and Gretzky the day before a game? I just don't understand.

It's actions like that that make me question what the hell he's doing behind the bench sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I know Babcock is a great coach...but the way he picks and chooses among players sometimes just completely baffles me.

Norrena was insane out there tonight, particularly late in the 3rd. He and Ozzie were both pretty evenly matched though. It's just a shame that in the shootout, Ozzie had to face Fedorov and Norrena had to face...uh...Sammy.

Rule 61) A "high stick" is one that is carried above the height of the opponent's shoulders. A player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion.
