Hey, I'll be the first to admit that I thought the Calder acquisition was just Cory Cross Part Deux. And then he scored in his first game, first shift, first shot. Still didn't change my opinion (since I believe Cross did the same thing or pretty close to it). But seeing him play since then? I'll take my crow with a garlic butter sauce, please.

You need to tell Fox Sports South that...it seems every game they air against the Wings, they're interviewing some guy in the crowd that, unfortunately, fits that stereotype. Last night's "Grief Couseler" (sic) was a prime example of that. I was seriously waiting for a "Git R Done!" to escape his lips, that's how bad it was. Thankfully, most of the Preds fans we get around here are articulate and intelligent, such as yourself (although, your choice of team to root for... ) and manage to break away from that stereotype. While I'm at it...I live in Jersey. I mean, Joisey. And I'm in the mafia. And I drive on the Turnpike. And I like tollbooths.

Honestly, that's what I thought too. If they had thrown one on the first Preds goal, fine. Thrown another on the second Preds goal? Also fine. But five at once. That seems excessive and I can't remember five octopi ever hitting the ice at one time like that. Seemed like any more than two would have nailed us with a delay of game penalty. No matter...we won and the fans at the Gaylord Entertainment Center looked silly (especially considering they threw the fish out on the ice when they were down 3-1 and not even to celebrate a goal).

I must admit that I didn't know that. After hearing about Crisp being THAT boneheaded, I'm going to doubt any so-called hockey knowledge that he has from now on...

Oh god, I suck...don't send me off to Nashville! I really know stuff about hockey, I swear! (seriously, I don't know why I said the Hart was a scoring trophy... )
