For me, it's probably karma for picking the Flames over the Wings.

MLive: Forsberg talk heats up, deal "in days"?
edicius replied to Howe's Bony Elbow's topic in General
Yeah, considering what Anaheim already gave up for Pronger - 1st round selection in 2007, a conditional 1st round selection and a 2nd round selection in 2008 - they might not be in much of a position to offer high picks for Forsberg. -
"Hey Foppa, wrong locker room...you're over here tonight."
-
I'd like to add Holmstrom to my list as well. No one in the league does what he does as well as he does it.
-
Zetts, Lids, Howard, Flip, and Hasek (we'd look a little silly tradiing away Dom before the deadline, wouldn't we? ).

I've been hurtin' these past two weeks.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb here. Detroit 6 (Dats x2, Schneids x2, Zetts, Homer) Philly 0

It's going to be so bizarre if we do, in fact, see Floppa in a Wings jersey. But at this point, I'm not at all opposed to it. If he wants to come here, I have no complaints. -
Sounds like I missed an interesting match.

When I read the report, my first thought was, of course, "Well, at least it ain't his groin."

Hopefully this won't provide more fodder for those "No more fighting!" peeps. I was listening to XM 204 last night and they had on...uhm...crap, I'm forgetting his name. Used to play for the Leafs back in the 70's, Walker I think was his name. He said that yes, sometimes you'd see injuries like that occur due to a fight...but they're so rare. He also still thinks that fighting DOES police the game better...more respect and all that. (paraphrasing) "Sticks didn't get up high. There was no such thing as 'checking from behind' when I played. You just didn't do that. If a guy was prone, you let off. That kind of respect is missing from the game today." Wait, did I just go horribly off topic...?

Glad to see you back, aflac! I tried to hold down the fort while you were gone...but nothing compares to an aflac GDT. Won't be here tonight for the game (going to see Brian Regan tonight!), but I'm tempted to hold with my weekend pick. 3-2 Calgary, in OT. Again, prove me wrong, guys!

While aflac's out living life in the real world... Broadcast: Fox Sports Detroit Fox Sports Midwest XM: No feed tonight NHL.com: Click here.

I'll admit it...J-Mac was great last night. His rebound control still leaves a LOT to be desired, but he made some unbelievable saves last night (especially on the odd-man rushes).
-
Well, look at it this way. If anyone says we don't need a scorer, they can't use the excuse of "We have no problem scoring, we haven't been shutout in 175 games..."
-
Sanford, player of the game. No surprise there. Sanford should have gotten the shutout all by himself. Legace didn't do squat to earn that.
-
MOTHERF@#$ERS. Well, it was a nice run. Joey Mac had his best NHL game ever...but all for naught.
-
GARGH!!!!
-
This game is killing me. So many opportunities...and no biscuit in the basket.
-
And I think they ARE chanting "We want a shutout!"! Wow...could there be LESS knowledgeable hockey fans?
-
3:40 left in the 4rd...
-
Sanford ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBBSSSSSSS Dats. Damn.
-
This is looking hopeless.... Turnover. Turnover. Turnover. SAVE BY J-MAC!
-
Now would be a good time for our power play to kick into gear.

SAVE! REBOUND! SAVE!
