Yeah, post-presser, I'm more inclined the blame the doctors for their lack of decorum than Crosby. Someone - Shero, Lemieux, etc. - should have put their foot down and said, "You know, this just isn't a good idea today," but it is what it is.

Belarusian news agencies are now reporting that Ruslan Salei was on the crashed Lokomotiv flight.

If he still holds that presser today for the specific purpose of talking about himself (I make the distinction because Lids is holding a presser to talk specifically about Lokomotiv, due to the Wings connection), he'll prove himself to be a bigger self-centered ****** than I thought possible. EDIT: And come on, a bunch of you were thinking it. I just happened to say it. Today should be about Lokomotiv and not his shenanigans.

I would think that if Salei WASN'T on the plane, he would have contacted someone by now (or someone would have contacted him).

It's been confirmed by the Finnish media that Jorma wasn't on the plane. Ah, good catch. I was going directly to their hockey page which had no mention of it.

I'm wondering now if the presser will be cancelled in light of what happened with Lokomotiv. Crosby's will he/won't he BS pales in comparison to importance of that.

I know I gave Salei and McCrimmon endless crap, but I never wished for anything like this. Crossing my fingers that neither were on the plane, but I know the chances of that are slim. Goddamn.

So, I watched Red State tonight. Enjoyed it enough. Not one of my fave Smith films and to be honest, in the realm of WTF RELIGIOUS FERVOR films, I think I preferred Frailty...but still glad I watched. So I guess I kind of fall in the middle on this one.

Ooooookay, guess I'm NOT watching Red State this weekend. Amazon claimed that the rental period expired (despite A) not having been able to d/l it since it never showed up in my library, B) not having started watching it online either and C) 30 days not having passed, considering having done neither of the two aforementioned things).Plus side is that they refunded my $9.99. See, it's this s*** that drives me to torrents, internet.
