I wish they did the cool 8 1/2 x 11 pictures that used to come folded up in both papers. I used to hang those all over the room

Judging from your post, I have come to the conclusion that I would feel more comfortable with the robot in your avatar running the team than you.

Could be, but I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if it isn't true, alhough we will never know for sure...
-
But his name is Hasek, which means he automatically reverts back to 1998-99 form once the playoffs start...

Couple points regarding the line-up... 1. Babcock would like to use Zetterberg and Datsyuk on separate lines 2. Babcock would like to use Franzen as a 3rd line, shut-down center Babcock's Line-Up Filppula - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Hudler - Zetterberg - Cleary Kopecky - Franzen - Samuelsson Maltby - Draper - Drake (McCarty - Hartigan - Downey) McCarty hasn't proved anything yet so including him on a REALISTIC line-up is ludicrous. Downey will only be used if opponents are running at Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Filppula, etc... My Line-Up Filppula - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Franzen - Zetterberg - Cleary Maltby - Draper - McCarty Downey - Kopecky - Drake (Hudler - Hartigan - Samuelsson) I feel Franzen has proven himself as a top-six player much more than Hudler or Samuelsson combined these last couple weeks. Now, I'm not saying Samuelsson or Hudler have played bad the last couple weeks, but the top-six should include the top-six goal scorers, which they are not. Hudler, no matter how hard he tries, is just too small to make room for himself during the playoffs. Samuelsson would be used well on the 3rd or 4th line as someone who can play responsible defensively and provide a shot for the occasional goal, but Downey's presence, and hopefully McCarty's, provide more of the characteristics we need for the playoffs.

How about march 26? Hint:

Actually Iginla had a hat-trick tonight so he stays one point above Datsyuk but I'm rooting for Datsyuk to stay ahead of him and Vinny the rest of the way.

Probably from watching his Dad discipline the Mrs.

I'd rest everyone vs Blues games this week...
WhiteLightning91 replied to Majsheppard's topic in General
:caution: Suck it up. We get whoever we get. Babcock is not and I hope not going to ease up on the guys at all the rest of the season. No reason to rest anyone yet. We need to get all the guys back from injuries (except Stuart) and create some chemistry amongst the lines. And stop acting all high and mighty just because you're a Red Wings fan. You are the reason people despise Red Wings fans. -
Not really a funny commercial but this is probably one of the best NHL commercials I have ever seen. The doobie doobie doo commercials with the penguin and the old Nike commercials with the flyers goalie are the best still but this is pretty damn good. name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&"> name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

Were the fans throwing stuff at Roy at the end of that video. If so, good job!

Wings GM says Chris Chelios likely to be back next year
WhiteLightning91 replied to zombiewing's topic in General
Chelios is +13 this season and was +7 last year during the playoffs, which was 2nd best on the team behind only Franzen, who was +8. And he plays half his time on the PK. Yeah, he is quite the liability on the ice. Oh and for those young defensemen who need to be developed; the only two that will have a shot at coming up next season are Meech and Quincey, and that's if we do not sign Stuart, which Holland is surely going to try his best to get done, given Stuart has a solid playoffs and fits into our cap situation for the next couple seasons. (I'm hoping for a 5-year deal worth $3M/season) Say we do end up re-signing Stuart, well there are a couple different situations that could happen; Holland will re-sign Lilja as well, given Lilja has a solid playoffs and doesn't ask for more than $1.5M. In that case, one of Lebda, Meech, and Quincey will be traded. Lebda would be the most likely since he makes the most money, he's the most experienced, and he's still under contract for 2 more seasons. Meech and Quincey won't yield as much in return as Lebda since they are still unproven so I don't see them being shown the door. If Lilja isn't re-signed, I still think one of Lebda, Meech, and Quincey will be traded since Ericsson is now looked at as a guy who can play in this league but is playing in GR only based on the fact that he is behind those guys on the depth chart. Ericsson is waiver-free next season still so he will stay with GR unless he is called up due to injuries. The next defenseman on the depth chart is Kindl, and I would bet the Wings will keep him in GR for at least the next two seasons. Smith and Pyett are each at least 3 years away. -
What the f*** is that? Clear as day trip on Draper.
-
Anyone wanna tell me why Meech is playing on the PP with this game being a 1 shot game.
-
Thanks all you guys. I got it up and going. Not to sound greedy, but does anyone have a Detroit feed???
-
How do you use VLC?
-
Is anyone's Sopcast feed working? EDIT: Columbus feed is working for me. Just in time for Zetterberg's 40th of the season!!! GO Z!
-
The Columbus feed is working for me. The Detroit feed is still saying "the channel is offline now..." Hopefully this is resolved real quick. I do not want to listen to anyone but Ken and Mickey. Columbus Feed

It is FSN Plus. Pretty much FSN's version of ESPN2. It is available on Dish Network. The channel varies by date but for today it's on channel 448. I think you need the most expensive package to get it though.

I have never understood the logic of poo-pooing someone because of the division they are in. They didn't make the schedule. It's not their fault. So why should we fault them for that? Also, how is he a bad two-way player? I love how you state he is "NOT a GREAT 2 way player" but then fail to provide us with any basis for that argument. If you're going to state that an MVP candidate is poor defensively, yet has a +23 rating on a team that sits 23rd in the league in GAA and has a team average +/- of -18, you should probably back that statement up with something. Now, you said something about Ovechkin not being a good two-way player. Care to explain?
-
I honestly think he looks bad ass with it. He should for sure keep it. One of my favorites not on the Wings.
-
Was that Franzen or Datsyuk?

We should just skip the intermission break and get right to the 3rd period!
