Not to nitpick, but the GP for the division standings are off...Early in the season it wouldn't matter, but at this time of the year it's important to the teams fighting for those last few playoff spots. Holmstrom and Lebda are out for this game as well.

I really wanna see Washington in the playoffs this year but it would probably be better for them to get the higher draft pick and miss them this year...

There are none. People are getting a little ahead of themselves at the moment. I don't think Mac has even practiced with the Red Wings yet so playing in Sunday's game I think is wishful thinking. More likely Tuesday or even Thursday. EDIT: MLive Sunday will not happen. Tuesday is a maybe, but Thursday is more likely.

Hate to burst everyone's bubble but Illitch has stated that the land behind the Fox was not purchased with the intention of building a new arena on it. I guess he could be keeping it on the down low though...

What it SHOULD be: Filppula - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Franzen - Zetterberg - Cleary Maltby - Draper - McCarty* Downey - Kopecky - Drake What it WILL be: Filppula - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Franzen - Zetterberg - Cleary Maltby - Draper - Drake Hudler - Kopecky - Samuelsson *Assumes McCarty earns a full-time roster spot. I am a fan of Hudler but he is useless on the 4th line. I know he made the most out of his limited ice-time last season, but this year he is invisible unless he gets top-six minutes; and even then he is hot and cold. Samuelsson brings nothing to this team except 748324327814 shots a game, all of which will end up high-and-wide or hit the goalie square in the chest. Downey and Drake bring more important playoff qualities (Grit/Toughness/Physical Presence) than those two will. Honestly, I'd be surprised if Samuelsson/Hudler are here after this offseason or, at the latest, next year's trade deadline...

At this point, they are going to have to renew the lease for the Joe no matter what their intentions are. The lease is up after next season and there is no way they will be able to finish a new building by then. I haven't seen anything that suggest Mr. I is leaning towards a new arena or not so your guess is as good as anyone's at this point. They've been pretty hush hush about the whole thing.

I notinced that as well yesterday. Even though I disagree with many of them, I still enjoy reading them to get a feel for players unfamiliar to me. Sportsnet has pretty much the same thing though so you can just go there if TSN never puts their's back up.
